Taylor Swift terror plot: Defiant Swifties sing in the streets of Vienna after concert is cancelled

A third teen has been arrested in connection with a foiled terror attack on a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna this week. Austrian officials say an 18-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly having contact with the main, 19-year-old suspect, who reportedly planned to “kill a large crowd.”

Authorities say the plot to attack at least one of the three Swift shows in Austria – which have since been cancelled – appear to have been inspired by the Islamic State group and al-Qaeda.

Broken, but not defeated by the gig cancellations, hundreds of Swifties gathered on Thursday to sing and commiserate at Corneliusgasse Alley – a street in Vienna which, by name, is reminiscent of the fan favourite Taylor Swift song, ‘Cornelia Street’.

Before hitting Toronto in November, Swift is scheduled to play five shows at London’s Wembley Arena, starting next week.
