AE #841: Caller uses 'touchy-feely' defintion of God to get his metaphysical foot in the door

Notice how the caller used such a soft definition of God to get started? Who can possibly object to love, right? Is this the version of God they actually subscribe to? Of course not! Their god can perform miracles, etc.., so these soft definitions are intellectually dishonest.

As long as theist thinks of their imaginary friend at an abstract level, everything sounds great. When forced to think about what qualities this being must have, everything breaks down. There is always a point where the believer simply stops thinking it out.

If God is love , why does he allow children to born with bone cancer ? Doesn't seem very "loving" to me .

"You have a fundamental problem with your definition of god. "I don’t have a definition of god." "Oh" 😂😂

Why I don't believe god is love! Because in scripture, the biblical god shows the opposite behavior to love. Besides that, in scripture god says he created good and evil.

I must be god, my wife has yelled my name during love making. Also I’ve gotten stoned with my wife? How biblical.

How is this common claim, that "God is Love" affected by the NT passage about "your feeling toward your wife, father, son, etc should be 'as hate' compared to the hugeness of the love you're expected (coerced, really) to have for 'my Father' ". Hmm. There was a parable I've learned not to necessarily apply as a JC claim about Jehovah. This might be it. "hey, it was just a parable about a king long long ago in a land far far away. He wasn't talking about Jehovah". But, if not about Jehovah, what WAS that parable supposed to convey? Nope. I've just recalled. The one that isn't /necessarily/ about Jehovah... JC says "find the man who doesn't love my dad and kill him with a sword. But not where you find him. Bring him here to me. So I can watch." THAT's the one that's "just a parable". Uh huh. Teaching what?

Bullshit! Someone find me any passage in the Old or New Testament where it says, GOD IS LOVE.

It will be another bad year for atheist's mindless belief in mythical missing links.
