In Kaido's words: It's not like Jack is weak, there are just people stronger than him.
  • @SuperFlik
Every time I hear that Jack is a fishman, it's like I'm learning it for the first time

I kind of feel like Jack might have been intended to die at Zou, but was changed at the last moment. The only reason I could see him kept alive for Wano was for the Minks to get their revenge, but even then, Zunesha one tapping him was honestly more satisfying.

He failed so hard, I genuinely forgot he was the "head antagonist" of any ark lol

My top 3 Bums in OP: 1. Jesus Burgess 2. 90% of the Vice Admirals 3. Jack the dry spell

The best explaination is that Jack was truly a natural disaster then Zunesha traumatized him and gave him an elephant PSTD... But as he himself an elefant, he auto-trigger his own PSTD 24/7

Had to stop yanking the chain as soon as the notification dropped
  • Funny story. When I first heard about 'Jack the Drought', I was convinced he used his big elephant trunk to suck up all the water in town! Hence the name, Drought. So all I could picture in my head was the poor townspeople begging Jack to stop drinking their precious water, and he just responds, "No". "Shut up." I honestly wish this was canon. Imagine what he'd cause in Alabasta! XD

The fact that the first Billion berry bounty was… him… is so sad honestly

Jack on Wano really comes across as your typical schoolyard built. Growing up in an abusive home being constantly picked on by stronger siblings he goes to lash out and pick on those weaker than him to make himself feel better.
  • I think the next antagonist you cover should be Spandam. He wasn't a physical threat, but he was given a lot of power in the Water 7 saga, and was very despicable.

jack is a greatly designed villain, but for me personally katakuri should have a comeback
  • I think what happened is that Big Mom wound up taking up Jack’s role in Wano. Jack is honestly the most beastly of the Beast Pirates. Imagine if after Jack’s failure, he comes back as the darkhorse of the Beast Pirates and he winds up surpassing King and Queen to be the second worse threat on the island.

An elephant never forgets, but Jack the elephant can ironically be easily forgotten.
  • @WeirdPiece6360
Jack's basically the villain you get to play as so thay Nerf him
  • @_NIKOS9_NIKOS
I remember the hype behind him once his bounty was revealed. By the time we went to Wano the dude was just a walking punchline

Agree. I think there's definitely a world in which Jack could be both the runt of the family and a true menace to the heroes. He could have played Who's Who's part against Jinbei. It would have been interesting as a Fishman physical and moral confrontation. He could have been the fishman that "betrayed" the "Fishman way" of sorts. Like knowing about the Sun God belief but not adhering to it, not joining the Sun Pirates, eating a Devil Fruit. He could have been a "bad timeline" version of Jinbei.

Jack said nah I'd win then got his ass handed to him
  • I felt similar about Sasaki too. Good introduction and it went no where, PLUS he’s also a Fishman and it never got addressed. I was shocked when I found that out
