Charlotte Cleverley-Bisman was only 6 months old when she lost all four limbs to meningitis. Now almost a teen, finding her place in the world is proving to be a challenge. But she’s not alone.

Her two mentors, Californian cool dude Cameron Clapp and gold medalist swimmer Cameron Leslie, are showing Charlotte how to do things for herself and stand on her own two feet.

I love that he was wearing different prosthetics so he would be short with her.
  • The mom needs counselling. It looks like she still feels so much guilt about what happened to Charlotte. But as a mom she did the right thing by administering paracetamol, she could not have known that it was meningitis. She's a babying mom, but even with that she's a super hero. She deserves a little bit of credit.

I was shocked to hear she's only 11...she definitely looks 17 or 18 to me. I thought the blonde dude was her boyfriend for a split second!

''I just had to learn how to adapt myself to the world, not adapt the world to me''. Epic attitude!

That dude running around on his stumps is fuckin great!!! So positive. (...And handsome too, lol.)

I feel like the mom means well but is a bit negative leaning and tends to influence Charlotte in that way.

Woman, let these two young men help your daughter to become self sufficient!
  • So thankful that these two young men want to help encourage Charlotte and work with her. My mom has amputations due to septic shock from chemo. She had to learn how to walk on prosthetics at the age of 70. Very proud of her. It was wonderful to see Charlotte walk so much in the park. What encouraged my Mom was having another person with similar amputations come see her in the hospital and seeing that he was able to walk with prosthetics. These two young men doing this for Charlotte is extremely important and will help her tremendously.
  • Those men are the big brothers she needs in her life! I feel like everyone needs a mentor like that in their life. She is such a lucky girl to have them!

She's never gonna learn to do anything if her mom doesn't back off.
  • Those two are great mentors. This girl can now knows that she has to do the same as them in order to be like her mentors.

I need those two as mentors. I'm not an amputee or anything. I just really need some stability.

"I don't like cops and robbers much but once I get those blades, I can play cops and robbers". AWWWW Best of luck to Charlotte. She seems awesome! And her mom looks so tired but also really sad for her part in her daughter's disease but it seems she's done a fantastic job

I think , Charlotte mum is just being a mum, protective but very supportive. Between themselves and the help of the 2 Cams I have no doubt Charlotte will go on to live a happy and successful life. Great documentary. Well done to you all!

The two mentors are really cool and inspiring! The mum has been worn down with the heavy workload and stress. I would not be surprised if she has depression. The trauma for the mum seeing her baby going through that pain and dealing with years of struggle would wear anyone down. I think she is a very caring and loving Mum.
