Game developers really be coming up with the most effective ways to get their players to stop playing
  • @Alfwin
My favorite is when the NPC moves slower than the player's "run" speed, but faster than the player's "walk" speed, so it's impossible to keep pace with them no matter what you do.
  • @JeyFlash
“The nearest locksmith is about 17miles away” never doubt an npc’s ability to dodge common sense 😂😂
  • @PutYoRhymeOn
I love how Caleb always adds those little situationally specific and accurate 'taunts' like, "You have time, right?" "You're not doing anything after this, right?"
  • @os7223
That transition into the player’s pov was clean af
  • @Skiepher
Ghost of Tsushima did a good job of making the NPC always move faster than the Player so that if you are following them or they are following you, they are are either ahead of you at all times or just a few paces behind.

"I got work in 20 minutes, PLEASE!! 😱" I felt that line heavily 😂

Sometimes the AI will stop advancing until you’re in a specific area, even if you passed the area. So you have backtrack to the “talking zone” so they will continue to walk forward again
  • "To defeat gamers, we must test not their skill, but their patience" - the devs, probably

1:16 I like how it immediately puts you behind the dude as soon as the cutscene plays 😂

Caleb always knows EXACTLY how to realistically portray NPCs in video games

My favorite part is the fact that when the NPC said "it's locked", in reference to the door, the lock was actually on the NPC's side of the door so all he had to do was twist it, but instead came up with an elaborate scheme to go visit a lock smith which may or may not lead to another unnecessary delay.

You know Caleb is doing well if he's able to get sponsored by google

I really like how Red Dead Redemption did this by letting you press a button to follow the NPC. Same speed, same direction, and everything. This allowed the dialogue to flow better because you were more immersed in it without having to go to a cutscene.

"The nearest locksmith is about 17 miles away, we're gonna have to walk there" is my favorite line in this skit. 😆

I felt that "y'all win." Happens everytime I get a gamebreaking bug after 4 hours with no autosave. I'm so glad modern games save every 5 seconds when you do anything at all.
  • @yurushi55
It's so much worse when you have to keep them alive and they're completely useless in combat.
  • @Raidenduck
The editing in this one is top tier, the depth of field, the transitions, they're just so good

“I think I hurt my foot earlier tying my shoe. It’s going to take me a little longer to maneuver, sorry about that…” 😂
  • @lasercraft32
I will never not be impressed with how accurately he represents video games in real life. That camera and arm movements from the player's pov is pretty much PERFECT!
