I REALLY appreciated Killua mentioning Gotoh after he caught Misaka's first coin!

This was one of the few death battles that actually felt like a battle of smart warriors. They quickly analyzed their opponent's strong suits and fought accordingly. Wish we get more of these in the future instead of generic power up after power up to nuke the opponent.

Funny how even after all this, Misaka is only the third strongest level 5 esper, and the top 2 are so far above her she can't even touch them with ANY of her abilities, especially not Accelerator. Who, at his weakest moment in the series, could reverse the rotation of the earth and throw massive buildings?

I think Meruem would be a fairer matchup, but him and Mikasa don’t really have any similarities so it’d probably be a weird sounding idea. Tbh tho I really want to see Accelerator in a death battle one day

So, fun fact, Misaka's powers also grant her limited mind-reading abilities, and protection from mind control, since they also work on bio electricity.

I realize they both have a lightning angle but this is otherwise a completely unfair fight. One is using yoyos and skateboards while the other is summoning skyscraper sized lightning golems. The animation is giving Killua a lot of leeway letting him live as long as it did

I love how they used yellow lighting with Misaka to distinguish her‘s from Killua‘s. Nice design choice
