Soft= ripe. Spots= sweet. Heavy= juicy. Good watch

Need an episode 2 with stone fruit because nothing is sadder than a bad nectarine

This dude just made me realize I have been eating unripened pineapple all my life. This week I got a pineapple and waited until it was turning into golden yellow color. It was the sweetest pineapple I've eaten in my life!!!

As much as I'll miss the golden era of Bon Appetti videos, they've been killing it with these new videos. Really love the content that's been coming out.
  • You need to do another segment, but with such tropical fruits as durian, jackfruit, lychee, longan, mangosteen, rambutan, kumquat...and all the other exotic ones.

I worked in a produce department throughout college and will never forget all the information I obtained about how to pick the best fruits & veggies. People that don't buy pineapples because they are "too hard to cut" or "I don't know how to de-core it" need to watch this! It's SUPER fast! Can chop up a pineapple in a minute easy. Watermelons too, record speed was 23 seconds I think? PS: Did this man just trigger all of us purposely with that backwards watermelon bite? Wtf! 1:42

This is the type of video where I could imagine myself as a kid and this guy coming to our school to hold a small seminar to teach us about fruits and I would’ve been completely hooked and mesmerized looking forward to tell my parents all I learned so we could apply it when we go shopping. God bless the internet

Can't believe he got flak, all throughout the video he was on point on the cut styles, texture and taste profiles of each and every fruit ☺️

When he said that the core of the pineapple is completely inedible, it just appears into my mind the million time I’ve eaten the core and my mom use to make juice even with the skin 🥲.

I'd trust this guy for my everyday life ripe fruit choices! ❤❤❤

Omg a star fruit! I remember growing up with this tree in our backyard. We climbed that a lot and learned how to choose which ones are ripe. The bright yellow stars are super easy to spot! Like tiny little lanterns!

Saving this to watch in the Publix parking lot tomorrow so I can pick the absolute supreme fruit, thanks king! 🙏🏾

Only thing I dislike about the softness test for avocado or mango is that it bruises them a little. And people in the supermarket go through all the fruits and squeeze them leaving them with brown spots afterwards.

Awesome idea to bring him back for another video, was cool seeing the day in the life one.

Tip for pineapple, look for soft juicy golden bottom with greener top. Make sure the step can rip off semi easily by twisting and pulling by hand. Then before cutting, rip the top off and set it upside down for 20min-1hour. Will cause a lot of the bottom juicyness to spread into the top(since upside down) making the entire fruit equally juicy and nice. This is most important for soft ripe ones

Dragonfruit, when it is relatively sweet and also very chilled, is one of the most REFRESHING fruits on a hot, tropical day!” ❤
  • @halua1969
When I saw the guy eating that mango by peeling it completely, I knew this guy is a true fruit admirer.
  • Tristan-appreciate the science, humor , and curious spirit in the ways you share your knowledge. Super fun and enjoyable to watch. Thank you!!!❤
