oh my lordy! i finally get the turnaround thing!!!! it makes it so you dont have to stop and start something else. Sorta just leads ya there so you can continue making music!! Boy am I jazzed now. I learned to do this with single picking per note but this one is a really good alternate picking exercise!

A good friend of mine loves Chicago Blues. He just tells me 1-4-5, the key, and whether there's a turnaround. Then I can play along without knowing anything else about the song. Can jam for hours doing just that. It's amazing how many songs can be played using the same shape!
