The 12 Bar Blues is a super fun exercise to work on as a beginner. In this lesson, we will be going over how to play a 12 Bar Blues in the key of A Major which makes the chords very simple and easy to play. We will be working with the chords A, D and E and I'm even going to make it easier by using very simple power chords so that you can have fun even quicker.
I'm going to explain the 12 bar blues. Go over the 12 bar blues formula for the chords we are going to use in this lesson. I will also show you how to play a shuffle rhythm which is a very common rhythm used in blues guitar.

Just dropping you a note to thank you for all of your effort Lauren. I’m not that old but find my attention span to be very old and whithered but you have a very kind and considerate mannerisms which hold my attention helping me through the process. I still have problems playing “cover” songs but, I’ve gotten comfortable enough to play my own improvised noise which sounds good to me thanks to you. 😊

63 years old and for the first time I'm actually playing, poorly, but playing. I go into hospital soon , Carpel tunnel in both hands so will be out of action for a while then back on it and then subscribe to your lessons, loving playing these 12 bar blues, now I need to get a song going.thanks Lauren.
