Great rock band from the 70's that mixed blues, jazz & country music in their sound. They had lots of great songs such as "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed", "Statesboro Blues", "Melissa", "Blue Sky", "Ramblin' Man" etc. One of my favorites is their instrumental "Jessica" which was written by guitarist Dickey Betts & named after his daughter.

I am a recovering alcoholic (sober 35 years), the reason I drank was so I didn't have to feel the pain. I knew the alcohol wasn't good for me, but not having to feel the pain was better until its wasn't. So yes it can drive you to drinking, the lucky one's figure it out, the unlucky one's don't.

I think yes, anything that a person tries to "escape" from can lead to drinking, etc. Helps you feel better, or deal better short-term. Kills you in the long run. Stress alone can be deadly toxic.

It's a deep rabbit hole, so be prepared. 🤣 Borrowing from someone else, but I read a comment a while back where the dude said that "the Brothers weren't fair. They had two guitars, two drummers, killer bass, and the voice of God." You can't argue with that.

I feel so bad for my 30 year old daughter. She has parents that raised her with southern values, standards and manners. Married 38 years. In today’s society, she can’t find a “Man”…No one even “Dates” anymore!
