The Washington State Department of Health has asked a federal court to grant their inspectors access to a detention center in Tacoma that houses detainees for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In a lawsuit filed this week in the U.S. District Court in Tacoma, the health department claimed it has received more than 700 complaints about the Northwest ICE Processing Center (NWIPC), including reports of "animal-grade food quality," COVID outbreaks, and dirty water.

DOH said their most recent attempt to enter the NWIPC for an inspection happened in mid-July. An inspector was denied access to the facility, but was allowed to take a water sable from the lobby, according to the lawsuit.

If you want to be treated with great food and amenities, then don't come to the US illegally and break the laws. Then you can have as nice a life as you make for yourself. US taxpayers dont want to pay for your Hilton hotel room experience.

  • He’s there after serving his time in prison for a crime he committed while in this country illegally. I assume until he is deported. After the amount of disrespect he’s shown this country thus far what on earth makes you think he deserves our sympathy.
