  • I'd forgotten how much I like Patricia Cornwell's books - thanks for putting that top of mind for me.
  • Totally agree with you about Part of Your World! I read it back in the spring and loved it! I need to read more from Abby Jimenez. Also I can’t remember if I’ve already told you but you’ve convinced me to buy the first Kay Scarpetta book. Your love for the series is infectious!
  • I never worry you will spoil a book. Thank you for your videos. I look forward to them. Someone actually spoiled a whodunnit popular book I started reading a while back. It was just a random comment, not a reviewer. Someone actually said, “I didn’t believer it was the dad!” I was floored. I never read His and Hers. Next for me. Thank you!
  • This is a fantastic video!!! Your content and you keep getting better and better with every video, which is almost unbelievable since I’ve always thought you were amazing . (I’ve been following you for a couple of years now) Hope your writing is going as well as your reading this month.
  • @anitahohl
Daisy Darker is my favorite book of 2022, and I don't expect any book I read between now and the end of the year to be better. Alice Feeney is wonderful. I did love The Thirteenth Tale when I listened to the audiobook last year. I think it's one I should add the hardback edition of to my library.
  • The Thirteenth Tale is a great Oct read! I also loved her Once Upon a River. What a beautiful copy of Daisy Darker!
  • Wow Audrey - you're taking on a VERY prolific author here! It is fun to hear your recommendation for reading them in order... I read some of her early books years ago and I did appreciate her writing. Maybe in the future I'll take on the whole series, but your dedication is AWESOME!! I found author Carol Goodman's The Widow's House. Came out in 2017 and it's very gothy - stormy nights a huge old musty house, secrets and betrayal. It was yummy, just the right thing at the right time for me. A wonderful thing is ... she's written lots of books and I can't wait. I did read all the Nicci French Freda Klein's and enjoyed them, and have read all the Louise Penny's up to the current release. Read on Audrey - can't wait for your assessment when you've completed Book 26! x
  • I totally understand the Patricia Cornwell series obsession. My own obsession is Michael Connelly and the Harry Bosch universe. I have so many to get to and they are easy to binge.
  • @Yvette.T
Great reading month Audrey 👏 I've had to launch myself at my device to exit a video more than once to avoid having books spoiled 😠 So frustrating. Glad you loved DD regardless. Alice Feeney is a fave of mine too ❤️
  • I totally understand your feelings about doing "all or nothing" which is a sign of perfectionism. Sometimes just setting a timer for 15 minutes to work on making an area/project better will work. I learned that lesson from Dana K. White who says "Done Is Better Than Perfect"! Hope this helps. 😊
  • You are great the way you are.God Bless you.Take care b safe..To the own self true. We are all growing every year .Older you get you will realise that time is your friend dont rush it it will come .like you said when you need it it will come...Love your videos.we all are trying to figure it out.. love your videos watch over and over again just you read your books awsome...
  • Patricia Cornwell's series is my most fav series.. I remember buying the first 8 in mass market pp ( late nighties ) and getting up early cleaning house.. organizing kids ( 5 of them ) and then sitting in front of my wood fire and reading reading reading.. ( we lived off grid and life was sooo much easier then ) I stopped reading them years ago but never stopped buying them.. so i have then all and need to get going on them.. i wont reread them , just pick up where i left off.. Maybe 2023 is the year?? LOVE your content TY <3
  • I've been collecting Scarpetta books recently, thanks a lot :P I don't have the first one, so I haven't started rereading the series yet, but it's going to be a 2023 goal. I have no idea what I read or where I stopped back in the day, but this time I'm going in order :)
  • @Tula1987
I'll need to read the 13th Tale! my name is Vida and my grandmother who has passed was Margaret <3..
  • @abiwk04
Daisy Darker is the best book I've read this year. Having said that, I am reading Stone Blind at the moment and that might just overtake DD.
  • Great video! I read ten Scarpetta books between September 1997 and November of 2000. And then I just stopped. I don't really know why? I thoroughly enjoyed the early books in the Scarpetta series. Because of Cornwell I also got turned on to Tess Gerritsen and Sarah Lovett. My last Scarpetta read was The Last Precinct. Somehow I missed reading The Body Farm. You've inspired me to rediscover a great body of work. Thanks.....
  • @3dogmom
Slightly off topic… BUT I saw the cover art/read the synopsis of Riley Sagers next book today and I👏🏼CAN’T👏🏼WAIT👏🏼 goodness gracious the next few months are gonna be long ones!!
  • DD is next up in my audio queue!! 🎉 I think I got up to the 13th or 14th Kay Scarpetta novels during their original publication era!! Now that the books are on audio I will revisit them and continue on!! I totally agree that it’d be best to read them in order as they draw on the back stories so frequently. I wanted to be a forensic scientist because of Kay Scarpetta - she was one of the few STEM smart, confident, and supervisory female characters at the time of publication. I ended up in science, but disease related. Thank you for another great video!! 😊
