I'm in-between books right now. Nothing is pulling my string that I own and waiting on several books on hold at the library. I kind of want to read Nightwatching that you mentioned in your last video but I'm too terrified of being terrified lol. Thanks for the video!

Good morning Audrey and everyone! Great video, and so many books to get to! As for me, I just caught wind of one released January of last year called "Deaf Row" -- not a typo -- from true crime author Ron Franscell. Its got great reviews and after reading a sample on Amazon, I'm sold. While I wonder if it will be similar to Richard Osman's books (which I haven't read yet), a lot of the reviews blurb it as a police procedural that is dark but injected with humor (the Osman comparison references the cast of characters who are older). Anyway, great to see you with my morning coffee! Have a great day!
  • @Una...
So, is there a supernatural element to A Step Past Darkness? I'm a little confused lol.

I read A Step By Past Darkness in March, too! Halfway through the book I was like, man, this reminds me of It. So yeah, was super happy she said that in the acknowledgments and can attest to it! I enjoyed this book a lot.

Thanks for another great wrap up video, Audrey! I still have Vera's Never Saw Me Coming to read :( This was one I needed to have and never got to. I read IT many years ago, took me awhile, quite the chunker - It is worth the read! PS - I wanted to tell you that I just ordered Rizzoli & Isles the full series box set - For Self Care (actually w holiday gift cards!). I have never seen it from the beginning, glad I finally made this choice!

I read The Next Mrs Parish recently and was really let down with the writing and storyline. Now I’m reading Leviathan Wakes which is out of my comfort zone but I’m loving it

I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your reviews! I'm curious why you don't rate books (as in 5 Star scale)?
  • @Georgesmomsu
I’m listening to Finlay Donovan - always such a fun ride. A few March standouts: Dream Town by Lee Goldberg (#5 in the Eve Ronin series) Dark Dive by Andrew Mayne (#5 in the Underwater Investigation Unit) I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman. WOW. What a book. Not my usual genre - but I cant stop thinking about it.

A new Marian Keyes is coming - My Favorite Mistake - Jul 30, 2024!
  • @gailm.8190
It’s so funny how books work for some and not others. Sadly, the Vera Kurian book was a huge miss for me! I now better appreciate some of the elements in her writing after hearing your review!! I also loved NSMC so very much!!
  • I need to know… did you get the impression there’ll be another Findlay book after Rolls the Dice?
