Most people stopped. Did you?

At the beginning of 2020 there was a big gardening boom. That’s cooled now that things looked to be normal. To me to, the last 4 years have been anything but normal. The next year and a half may become difficult. If you’re not growing some food, I pray you begin to. Follow us to learn about gardening and preserving!

We are expanding our garden. Bought more raised bed, soil, heirloom seeds..seed saving in our freezer. Making everything from scratch
  • We are still living the same way we always have. Growing everything we can so we can provide for the family. Everyone stay ready 🙏

Our garden got much bigger this year and it will stay that way as longest we can .

I discovered that the birds love the sunflowers more than my tomatoes! So I am a happy camper! One of our sunflowers is close to 20' tall now. I was also able to harvest lettuce seeds after my lettuce bolted. The birds have eaten almost all of the seeds every year. Just goes to show that you CAN teach old dogs new tricks!
  • When the hurricane came through, it took out about half of my garden and then I had health issues that put me in bed for almost 2 weeks. So I am basically starting over but I will not give up 😊❤
  • I'm still growing my veggies. Freezing onions, kale, and zucchini so far. Gardens all the way! 👍 Home grown all the way! God Bless everyone.

I was growing food before the pandemic and I haven't stopped. We don't buy much bread as I make ours. I've been canning for many years, but I did step up my canning during the past several years. If worse comes to worst I'm sure we won't go hungry for awhile and I even put up enough to share with family that lives where they can't garden.

Those who were already knowing that things are changing fast, are still going. The fact is, there are systems that need to go down, in order to improve this corrupt place. There ARE, some big bumps coming. Comfort levels will depend on the readiness of each family. 😊
  • Right now I can't do much as far as gardening due to health issues, but what I have already planted, the bugs got and weather/water issues left me with nothing. I did buy about $125 worth of seeds (bulk for a few years) and still want to get almost $900 more. I will share some with my family. I am going to physical therapy & chiropractor (all in 1) to help my mobility so I can go back to work and also work on my garden.

Wise advice with no fear. I’ve been one of those that has a tomato growing in a pot when that’s all the space I had to garden for the last 25 years or so. I’ve had good sized in ground gardens in apartments with tiny back yards. Currently, in the rv park, I have several containers with sweet potatoes, horse radish, feverfew, tomatoes and I’m waiting on the summer squash to come up. You can garden anywhere to one extent or another.

More garden, more fruit trees, more animals. Anything to be able to eat good food.

Started gardening four years ago. I don't plan to stop or slow down. Thank you Jill!

This year has been our most intensive gardening year to date. And we've been doing this for a couple of decades. This particular season has been a major gardening challenge, but yet - we keep going. There's nothing like growing your own herbs, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, etc.
  • Gardening more and more..When Trump gets in it will take years to get things straight.
  • @Peachy08
I am poking seeds in the ground daily still. I live in Georgia and am blessed with a long growing season.
  • @lookup8297
I am concerned that because people think trump will win that they do not have to garden or be ready,… they are letting their guard down!
  • Yes Ma'am. I'm with you. We've gone too far down the road. Statistics show that the middle class is shrinking. Even if all the best decisions are made in '25, it will take a lot to get things turned around. Garden, prep and pray.

Absolutely not! Im still expanding and preparing. Ive got tomatoes and bell peppers coming in, successful with garlic, still need to learn to improve with onion growing. I have a temp garden, putting in a 20x60 ft greenhouse in and more garden beds. My temp garden was mineral buckets. Never be vulnerable again. All the bioengineered foods! I make all my own bread. Have a freeze dryer, 2 canning, dehydrator and freezers. Also a distributor for Thrive Life for things we aren’t growing. Planting fruit trees and berry bushes. Getting our home buikt with a basement now too.

sad to say but this is the calm before the storm. You are spot on.
