LOL, never thought about not being able to swipe on a phone with a thumb spica. I have had two on my non-dominant hand, but that was before I had a smart phone. It was regular keyboard typing for me since I tap the space bar with my thumb, but I switched after my ORIF to the other hand. For me it was how it affected my normal ADL's, but otherwise it was a blast.

I broke my scaphoid twice and all the cast i had was thumb spica cast. Long arm and short arm. Awesome video thanks

I'm curious as why the used casts are thrown away in the regular garbage rather than in the biohazard bin? Especially the stinky ones with a lot of dead skin in them. Can you shed light on the reason?

I would love to do the job of removing casts. It must be just great to have only happy/excited people 😁 They may be a bit scared if it was their first time. 😨 Guess casts of active people and in summer are smellier.

Many thumb spica casts over here! I have a Gamekeeper's thumb and I've torn that ligament a few times. It's funny, because people are always like "Oh, I bet your leg casts get so gross!!" Oh, no. No, no, NO. They've never my wrist/hand casts. Mine are not usually that bad, but they're definitely worse. 😅 My hand surgeon has replaced every two weeks in the past because my hands sweat so bad!

I'm in my own new Short Arm Thumb Spica Pink camo And black It feels great little bulky but for my 3rd cast I did pretty well Lol omg My purple thumb spica from the past 2 weeks you would be ashamed of haha it was so gross 😝

Why are you wearing a cloth mask inside a clinic ? You shouldn’t be allowed to wear one since the particle size of Covid is perfect for N95 and KN95 masks to stop the particles. Patients wear a cloth mask bc they don’t have access to medical masks like we do as professionals and we work 12 hours a day inside virtual and bacterial environments, patients just engage it for 45 minutes.
