Antiphospholipid syndrome: clinical features, diagnosis and management

Published 2019-10-07
Antiphospholipid syndrome is an autoantibody mediated acquired thrombophilia resulting in arterial and venous thrombosis and/or pregnancy morbidity. It is caused due to antibodies against the phospholipids of cell membranes or against molecules binding to these phospholipids. The disease causes protean manifestations including venous and arterial thrombosis, musculoskeletal, hematologic and neurologic manifestations. In this presentation we discuss the pathogenesis, clinical features and management of Antiphospholipid syndrome.
