It's a sad day when a person does a better investigation than the police and bank.
  • @Bloodfart22
I love how they only take action when the news contacts them

These are the types of circumstances that can break a man. The bank refusing to help, and him having knowledge of who stole his money? Let’s say he needed to pay his rent and was about to be homeless. If he had followed the man home and violently retrieved his money, it could have ruined his entire life. Everyone has a breaking point and I’m glad this wasn’t his.

Refusing to look at their own security video is so disgusting.

Moral of the story: DON'T bank with Chase. They do not VALUE their clientele.
  • The most appalling thing is that the bank didn't even bother to arrest or chase that same guy away to prevent further scams to their customers after the initial reports! They acted like it's none of their business when the guy tampered their ATM machines. Just disgusting! I think there must be an insider job, this makes no sense!
  • Thank you guys so much for investigating this. Those people would have not gotten their money if it weren't for y'all.
  • If this didn't get media attention, the bank would've ignored this matter. Kudos to the young man for taking action into his own hands and shame on the bank for not taking early actions.

The bank refuses to review their own security recordings, and insists on being subpoenaed? That’s absolutely absurd, and those employees should be promptly fired.

I’ve been with Chase for 25+ years, this is disgusting to deny without the investigation as required by law. I think it’s time to consider the smaller local banks.

Who walks away from an ATM without verifying your transaction is complete and closed?
  • @LV2UJC-FM
I always make sure the ATM is closed after making my transactions, and that's the problem with so many people in a rush, knowing there are scam artists around waiting for people like this at an ATM. You can't take chances, even when you think no one is around, don't be vulnerable. Banks don't protect us or our money, be alert.

Crooks are not just out on the streets, they’re in the corporate offices too.
  • OK. Chase needs to be investigated. There are probably many more victimized customers. They are like the Spirit Airlines of banks for doing this.
  • @KPG113
Thanks for keeping these cronies accountable. Simply unbelievable.
  • @ronsamson4829
This makes me want to leave Chase. The fact that they told him he authorized those withdrawals is pathetic

"Just because it happened to others doesn't mean it happened to you" 10/10 a bank that cares about their customers.
  • @lord_erdrick
The thing that's most alarming is, despite having surveillance, the bank refused to investigate the claim. If there was ever a reason to take your money elsewhere, this is it.
  • @seckid37
If you ever walk up to an ATM and its been altered in any way or is broken, leave and go somewhere else. The same goes for card readers at cash registers. I know its a inconvenience but it'll keep you ending up in a situation like this.
  • @Honeybee1975..
Glad those scammed people got their money back from that scammer thanks to that young man who didn’t give up!
