It’s sad that some people are making such disrespectful comments. Adding salt to the victim’s wounds. We should appreciate the fact that she is brave enough to share her story to alert others.

I am duped by my son rs.20 lakhs. even family members are fraudusters without any shame.
  • She is a Strong minded lady. Any woman of her age living all alone would have immediately fainted after receiving such news from the other end & that could have saved her from being duped.
  • @guharup
Digital arrest? What about a digital full body search? Where is the brain?
  • My wife received a similar call indicating that she had attempted to make shipment of illegal substances to Iran on numerous occasions and that the Customs and Excise Dept., were onto her. They identified themselves as being from FedEx.
  • Being educated doesn't mean being smart and having common sense.
  • What is the govt doing to protect its citizens from such scams? There are thousands of complaints specially from seniors.
  • All her problems started with her fear of loosing her phone connection. If only she had told this to her daughter, probably she would have not got into this trouble
  • I understand that you were conned but it was very foolish to transfer money yourself to the scamsters..😂
  • I too had such a same scam call telling that eight people from mumbai had complained against me with this number and I have to speak to the police in thane police station and those eight people are now in the police station, if they identity me and find me accused I have to come to thane police station. There were pressuring me to come live on watsup which I refused I'm staying in bengalore I told them I'll not come on watsup live rather I'll go to women police station in bengaluru and then come live on watsup By now they came to know I was cautious one fellow spoke very rudely saying that I wasted his time slanged the phone down Maybe if this person would have mentioned the local police station name, she may not be duped.

I was cheated by Senior Police Inspector who as an IO took the side of the accused and closed my case. Even Church stood by the accused as he was a Christian businessman having illicit relationship with my close relative.
