  • I love that you said your first one took 3 hours. Mine took 2 hours because the client had a lot of questions. The signing company was having a fit because they were in Texas and I was in Oregon so there is a 2 hour time difference. They wanted scanbacks right away. My all-in-one printer/scanner/fax machine could only handle 10 pages at a time so my scanning was slow. They kept texting and calling and emailing me "WHERE ARE THE DOCUMENTS!" which was only delaying me more. They were so frustrated because I was trying to check over the docs to make sure they were correct and some didn't scan very well so I had to redo them. It was a nightmare. It didn't get funded that day and they let me know how bad that was but I don't know, even now, how I could have prevented those things as a newbie. It just happened. Now I rush through the docs more, just making sure they sign and initial where they are supposed to and say, if you have questions please ask your loan officer. We can call them with all your questions at the end. I have never had to call the loan officer. My signings still take 1 hour. The scanbacks still take 30-45 minutes, then running to FedEx takes another 1 hour round-trip. I honestly don't know how people get 4-5 signings done in one day using a signing service. Maybe going direct is the only way to go.
