Hurricane Beryl has come and it has gone. But, it left a wake of destruction behind and has caused an estimated 20-30 BILLION dollars in damages.

    argh, i am one of those people that likes historical and old things, (I like new things also, but i just don't like seeing old stuff ruined.) I hope everyone was okay, since that is the most important thing!

    Living in a Hurricane Zone right next to the Ocean I look at this and wonder why Texas doesn't get serious about building codes. Done great as far as public infrastructure although the collapse of the Houston power grid is hardly surprising.

    I am sorry for the loss of life from this hurricane. And sorry that houses were allowed to be constructed in my ocean. Huge mistake!
