  • @LoEastSideNY72
Finally joined the zippo family. I was clueless to the process and maintenance and almost panicked. Not all superheroes wear capes. Thank you.
  • @xxmurdax
i don’t even have a zippo matter a fact a don’t even have a lighter this is just odly nice to watch
  • @assholecarrier
Had my Zippo for over a decade. Some times I lose it, but it always finds it's way back to me. It's like Mr. Burns' bear, Bobo..
  • @kenkjer
I have had my zippo for 68 years. Still works fine.

Videos like this r y I love Youtube....it checks all the boxes of a perfect tutorial. 1. Clear HD video 2. No superlong intro 3. No corny music 4. No corny jokes 5. VOCAL CLARITY 6. Step x step simple instructions My 1st Zippo is literally otw as I type this.... But I got a little apprehensive when u started tlkin about losing fluid. That plus all the maintenance...it's like having a pet! 😅.... But as soon as u mentioned the butane insert? I went straight to Amazon....it'll be here the same day as my Zippo 😅 This video deserved all 1.4 million views... 👍🏾

Just got recommended this now after owning a Zippo for 10 years or so. What I love in them is that it's not a throwaway design, almost all components are made to be replaced once they wear out. So in theory one Zippo can last you almost a lifetime.
  • Just pulled my Zippo out of retirement. Fuelled up & new flint . 38 yrs old and still works a treat . Many thanks for the tips.
  • @Redharp
pro tip. that hole in the felt is for your spare flint. it keeps it snug in
  • This reminds me of being 17 years old... getting drunk on jack daniels and coke and lighting cigarettes with one of these. The stench of the lighter fluid as you pulled it out and flipped it open. Beautiful. Drunk as heck trying not to puke on the tube the next morning after visiting my girlfriend and buddies outside London. Simpler times.

After watching this video you dont need any other video to know what you need to do with your Zippo lighter. And how you can maintain and care for you Zippo. This explains it all in a simple way, best video out there. Thanks for the video.

I find this vid extremely interesting and useful. I was always struggling keeping my ZIPPO working whenever I need it, despite the fact I'm non smoking person. I just love everything behind it. The history, design, how it works and how it feels in your hand. The biggest issue was the fuel evaporation, but now I see there are some solutions to prevent, or at least minimize that. Thanks for the tips!

I’ve never owned a zippo, but my dad recently passed and I found his old zippo from 1992 that I want to get going again. This was very helpful, thank you!
  • @Wyks_Dreamz
You can also harvest old flints from single use lighters, they fit almost perfectly and may need a bit of a groove worn into it by the wheel but it works!
  • @TheQuietfun
Been using Zippo for years and you just taught me some stuff! Keep it up!
  • Non smoker here but have always loved zippos. They remind me of my dad and grandfather. The sound of it opening and closing, the smells. It all has great childhood memories, so a friend got me one. This video was extremely helpful!
  • @randyl7354
I followed along. Thank you. My best friend who passed on took care of my zippo for me when we use to visit together Sunday afternoons, it now reminds me of him. He collected them and enjoyed them greatly. Thanks again.
  • @adamlee581
When I used a zippo every day I changed the standard rayon balls for chopped up tampon material it does make it last longer. Maybe it was the packing but it definitely lasted a good amount longer
  • @muzzaball
What a great video, I am surprised as I didn't realize there was so much to know about Zippo's (beginner, 50 yrs old). Thanks for posting, cheers.

As a coin collector I'm now interested in knowing what a non standard US penny is.
