Judo is the real deal. When I was 7 I was being bullied. I took two courses and threw the bully over my shoulder flat on his back breathless. The art of surprise IS Judo. Using your own opponents wait to send him to the group hard.

Judo is such a beautiful sport! All of these techniques are just brilliant! I love seeing judo performed by people who truly know all the ins and outs.

I like that in some clips even the guys getting thrown are like "what?" really cool
  • @jessepriest2883
When you see the throw at 1:18 in slo-mo you can see the look of confusion on the guy's face 😂 "I threw him, why am I on the bottom?

Bring back leg grabs! So much variation. I loved the uchimata leg grab haha that was SWEET! EDIT: oh and the counter at 5:45 is exceptional

The combined knowledge of leverage and center of gravity, combined with the flexibility, strength and speed of an experienced Judo practitioner, plus the knowledge that your opponent is nothing more than an 80kg weight that you can toss around however you want if you can get their feet off the ground, makes for some devastatingly amazing artistic dances. Great compilation! Please, keep 'em coming.❤❤❤

As Judo was my first martial art (nearly 52 years ago) I always have a fondness for it, and some of those throws were pure artistry. Mind you at least a couple were pure 'I WILL WIN' guts and determination :)

judo is more complex than I thought so many variations and combinations
  • 4:08 is hilarious. Instead of just take his back and choke him, pick him up, turn him over, and drop him.

I could watch this shit all day. I love throws! Loved them when I was an amateur wrestler. I had an “unorthodox” throw that I made up. No one knew it, so I had high percentage success with it.

The skill, control, and athleticism shown in these matches is amazing. What an awesome sport. To think any normal street thug messing with any of these dudes is simply a game over scenario. Thanks for sharing.

I love watching Judo at this level. No matter your skill or understanding you will always be surprised. I've been asked if I thought Judo actually worked. I always respond "Do you watch the Olympics? Imagine you aren't an Olympic level Judo player, imagine he is..."
  • Many of these could be described as existing in that wonderful space between immense skill and a little fortune.
  • Whoever put this video together did a amazing job. Anyone who hates on Judo needs to watch this

I can't give this enough thumbs up. Awesome video! Also, the music really conveys an energy that fits the intensity of the competition. Well done.
  • @mzigliara
Wow, some of them had me "WTF!?" Excellent video, as always!
