Are You Praying the Right Way?

At the beginning of this year my autistic 14 yr old was banned from public school. We are struggling with self harm. And I have found myself sitting on the couch with him every day, all day until dad returns from work. I just hold him all day, with 7 other children to tend to. Life is presently difficult. But, these podcasts have helped encourage me not to give up. And my husband and I are believing Isaiah 48 ... we're praying for an all of a sudden moment. We believe! Thank you for pouring out what Holy Spirit reveals!

I was also taught the gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased with the apostles. This week, I was filled with the Holy Spirit & prayed in tongues for the first time. 🙏🏻🙌🏼 praise God for his blessings upon us all!! 😭💜 I’m finally seeing THE Truth.

I loved the convo but lots of interruptions. Perhaps two separate conversations then come together to discuss. Or just let each other finish sentences.

Guys. I loooove your podcasts. This one gave me anxiety. Not because it was about prayer, because this is something I really want to grow more and more in. But, because of all the interrupting and rushing and back and forth. If your videos are one hour or more I will watch them. Please don’t feel rushed. Please take your time. ❤

You guys are both great and speak truth and honesty. Something society needs. Their messages individually are also great. However, whenever videos/messages are given together, Lisa’s constant interruptions is frustrating. Please let him speak. He always lets you speak and never interrupts you. Give him the same honor. When you interrupt him, you’re also interrupting the audience’s understanding of the message 😩

John and Lisa we realy love you and your work and I hope you receive this feedback the way I intended it, with love. This is an amazing message but it's a but difficult to watch and get the fullness of this message due to the interruptions in between. It seemed that you were teaching from different angles and therefore needed to bring one another back to the point. I love that you both had notes which shows the effort that went into this. But if delivering a message together may it please be coherent and have a flow. Love you guys❤

I needed this ❤ I decided to start a 21 day prayer and fasting and for the first day I couldn't open my mouth not once to pray and I flip flopped on what I said I would fast because I am a nursing mother of a 5 month old baby boy. This helped me so much I started praying in tongues due to the direction of the holy spirit. I am living in Mexico and I believe he revealed to me he was praying for people who would have dangers today. I just borrowed the awe of God from my local library across the border , so excited to dive in 🙏❤️

i loved this podcast! this was the first one of your guys that i’ve listened to. i appreciate how truthful and honest you guys both were. the only thing that kept throwing me off is that at times you would cut each other off. i understand being passionate and not wanting to forget an important note but i kept getting excited to hear what was being talked about and then the other person would talk about something different. i think it could be a me thing too because i don’t like to be cut off and try not to cut other people off. but, also in this generation of scrolling to the next thing, if i keep getting thrown off my brain just wants to scroll in a sense but you guys truly had so much good information so i knew that it was important to listen until the end.

I was listening to this and doing my crochet. When he said, I'm sixty five now, I had to put down my hook and come look at the video! 65?? You guys look much younger! God bless you both!

TODAY I have been battling this.. I have been soo tired. I was free from work and spent time with my son and hade some cleaning to do. I prayed this morning. But after dinner I fel asleep 2 hours and woken up soo tired. When my husband took our son out to play in the yard I immediately started praying. And I want to war.. Right away my tiredness was gone🙌🙏🏻 Thank you Jesus ❤

Just this morning I asked the Lord, "Father, what is faith? What does it mean to pray with Faith?" I believe that this episode is part of His answer to that question! Thank you Lord, for Lisa and John and answering our prayers!

God gets you with the simplest of prayers... gah he is so loving, and fun! He is the revealer of all truth.

Okay, please don't take this the wrong way, John and Lisa. But when I hear your conversation and some of the quirks and back-and-forth dynamics between you two, I think, "maybe it's not so bad with the way my wife and I relate after all." Often, I berate myself and feel horrible when my wife and I have an argument or miscommunication. We have had a lot of challenges in our 20-year marriage and would be divorced seven times over it weren't for the grace of God. We've made a commitment to each other and hung in there! We've gone through many trials, internal and external, and yet here we are. :) Lots of forgiveness needed and given on a regular basis. I realize that if these amazing people of God are not perfect (except by the blood of Christ) there is hope for all of us. God can work through us!! God bless you and your ministry. You had a great discussion that encourages me to pray more!

Please stop talking over each other and doing the one upmanship thing. We need to hear and learn all you both have to share on the topic of prayer. All prayer is warfare and why it can be difficult at times. Please share more examples of prayers in Scripture. For example Abraham's servants prayer in Genesis 24. This prayer very conversational to his masters God. Or the short prayer released by Nehemiah whilst talking to the king. Neh. 2:4-6. Or King David and his prayers recorded in Psalms. Believers can get discouraged by the idea of prayer when they feel it has to be formulaic or complicated. Just talk to God. He hears and sees or heart. Psalm 18:6. Psalm 116: 1,2. Loving Shalom

I'm sooo thankful for you both!❤ My life has changed when one morning the Holy Ghost filled me up and I started to pray in tongues. However that time I didn't even know it is biblical as my baptist church as "good" cessationists haven't had any teaching on spirirual gifts. Praying in tongues is a very powerful gift!🔥 I wish every christian would pray in tongues❤
