Why is my alarm going off??

For those of you wanting to always have this option disabled simply remove the overhead center console (6 clips), and unplug the blue module. This will disable the interior sensors.

My alarm on my Ford F150 2014 was going off. It was the hood security alarm. The alarm switch is not in the Latch Area like so many F150's, it is on the driver's side of the hood.

Well I left my moonroof open and it was raining I got a notification on my phone that my alarm went off so I went to check it out and.... well let just say this feature save the day I’m glad ford did it and I know about it. Ooh the little rain drops that was getting inside set the alarm off. Plus there’s no excuse for leaving your child in the car.

thank you this took me ages to work out! I even went back to the dealer and he told me the wrong button. You have saved me a lot of hassle that I would have got having the dogs in the car and taking the car on the ferry.

I must add a note here because its so damn funny. My alarm just started going off for no reason. I did it about eight times over 6 hours. The Ms. was about to kill me. After checking everything and going through all the damn videos possible, I realized it likely was a giant moth flying around inside the cab, that I had captured and set-free during night, that I assume was setting off some kind on motion sensor... I am kinda glad I did it though because I now know how to remove/install a battery, the place for the computer hook-up, how to open my hood, the location of all my fuses, the sensitivity gauge on the alarm and about a half dozen other conspiracies. Damn you moth-man!!!

What about a 2013 f150 that the alarm keeps going off randomly. It doesn't have all those alarm features?

Happened to us last night. Middle of the night, the alarm went off three times. After checking out this video, we discovered a moth inside the truck. WTF Ford? Maybe you over engineered this a little bit?

Just a simple vibration of a loud truck or motorcycle driving by will set off the alarm as well so annoying!

Our 2017 Ford 550 was going off last night 4 times. It’s causing a lot of issues like come on.

My sock sensor was working couple days ago and one day I pushed the sensor bottom under the steering wheel since that day my sock sensor stop working ☹

Ok that’s great but it’s a shame ford has piece of crap door ajar sensors that make the alarm go off randomly, keeps happening with our 2013 Taurus

Is this on certain models like XLT, or Lariat and above?

LOL I just bought a Mustang and took my dogs on a trip and everytime I got out and locked it it went off. Probably different menus but know what to look for.

What if your truck doesn't have a advanced alarm setting

When I took my truck in for an oil change the service rep told me I had rat 🐀 footprints in the engine, which he said is common in all vehicles, this could be a reason all of our alarms are going off with perimeter sensors, also catalytic converter thieves
