James Worthy, Guarding Michael or Bird. "Michael makes you look slow, Bird, makes you look stupid".

Bird said Cooper was the best defender he ever played against. Apparently he’s just a step behind God. Pretty high praise.

Ahhh, love the Chief!! Love all of that '80's ball!

Best era of NBA basketball and it's not even debatable! ☘️🏀💪
  • I recognized Parish's talent and potential when he came into the league with the Golden State Warriors. Needless to say the Chief was destined to be a great big man if on the right team. Boston would not have been as dominate as they were without him.

Larry Bird, Coop and the Chief. I miss the old NBA. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Mr. Cooper congratulations sir on being a hall of famer👊🏽. Also thank you for making a a lot us day with the content you put out about the greatest era of basketball.

What he did to Laimbeer probably made this guy the most beloved player in the league.
  • The Chief is one of the most underrated players in NBA history, even though he is talked about a lot, is given his due, and is in the Hall of Fame. It was the age of the great centers and big men and Robert held his own against them all. He quietly went about his business and fit in perfectly with a team that was stacked with that much talent. On any other team, as the starting center in his prime, Robert would have scored at least another 5 to 10 points a night. If not more.

Never forget when he knock lambier down at center court and just walk away like nothing while lambier was complaining to refs

Gotta love the Chief! Great on the court and looks like great in the locker room too.

I was a 23 year old, white, somewhat prejudiced fool back in Spring '87 when I first saw the Chief. After seeing him play his heart (and ankle) out those playoffs, I seriously changed. I would have invited him to my home and he could have stayed in the master bedroom overnight. It would have been an honor for me to host him. Thank God for the NBA. It helped melt my heart.
