Didnt know you started a channel, Ive been a fan ever since I heard you on the TBT podcast
  • Truthfully, I have never been a history fanatic, if anything it has forever been my LEAST favourite subject, however, now I feel like getting a book or two from the list to see if they can change my mind.
  • The list is not surprising at all You talked at length about these books on multiple occasions. By the way, great recommendations 📚

“The Impossible State” by Wael Hallaq is an outstanding book indeed. It is a must read for all those who wish Islamic revival, and how it can only be accomplished through coming back to the Islamic Sharia roots. According to Hallaq, the Islamic system was superior to the Western Nation State concept. And, only way Islam can be revived is for Muslims to go back to their great Sharia governance.

About the Books on Liberalism, I felt like, by listening to your review, they are more focused on critiquing it from a historical perspective, are you aware of books that provide rather, a Philosophical critique of Liberalism?
