Good stuff! Thanks! My Mom had a stroke and could never use her left arm again. She had my Dad put a nail through the center of a heavy square of wood. She would put a potato on the nail and peel it with one hand! She never let her disabilities get to her, she worked out how to do as much by herself and be as helpful as possible!

LOL Warning - for those trying the spinning hack for the Ketchup - 35 + years ago my husband tried that trick, the top wans't on properly and to this day there there is still ketchup stain on the ceiling and walls in the old rural house. lol

The wheat flour has GLUTEN (gluey, gooey, sticky) ingredient. It is this portion of the starchy flour that grabs onto all the dirt, dust, and other debris, and then washes off the clean shrooms.

Here in Uganda we add ginger to the pineapple drink you made it really adds flavour. Thanks for the great videos as always 😊

You forgot the best part of your "no waste pineapple". You can plant the top & grow another pineapple to eat.

Omg. The baking rack with the hand mixer to create a stand mixer!! I am doing this, this weekend. Mind. Blown.

I think I figured out what is so relaxing and mesmerizing about these videos-this guy moves with the grace of a top athlete or dancer, not in a hurry yet very efficient, making cooking an art form on film. The content is often surprising as well, but I love how his cooking projects are like a dance.

Pineapple tips are amazing. I have been making the cheese ones for a while. I make salami chips -- thinly slice salami, bake on parchment paper lined baking sheets at 375 F [190 C] for 7 – 12 minutes [depending on thickness] or until they are evenly browned and rigid. All your tips are great!

Store almost empty condiment bottles in the fridge upside down, making sure the lid is on tight, and the contents will settle at the opening so it's easy to pour at your next use. When you're at the very end, instead of rinsing it into the sink, add a wee bit of water and swish it around to use the remainder in soup or whatever as a bit of seasoning. Swish a little water in most every container or can so you're not wasting anything. Think about everything before throwing it out. What can it be used for? Leftovers can be turned into a meal. Use WP's dough recipes and stuff or make wraps/dumplings with leftovers. Boil bones and save vegetable liquids for stocks. Use fruit liquids for flavoring tea or thicken them for toppings. Pork fat is lard. Bacon grease is heaven. Fry chicken skins for crispy snacks or sprinkle on whatever. Zest all citrus and let it air dry on the counter and you'll never have to buy zest. Add a cup or two of jarred pickle liquid to flavor a pork roast and throw in the garlic and peppers from the jar. Pickle fresh vegetables with leftover pickle liquid or as a last resort, use it instead of new vinegar and add baking soda/salt to freshen and clean out the drains around the house.

You crack me up, your sense of humour and talent are second to none.Thanx Hazel

Something you can add about the corn cob cores. You can make a a simple broth by boiling the leftover cobs in water and use in soups, stews etc like a veggie broth
  • When using the whirlwind method of spinning near-empty ketchup bottle make sure the lid is tight. I did this as a kid and when the lid flew off i ended up with a red stripe across the kitchen and living room floors, walls and ceiling. We had acoustic ceiling that I couldn't wipe off so my dad and I had to scrape and redo it. He also banned my spinning bottles. This channel is fantastic. I've just discovered it and already have countless tips to make everything in the kitchen far easier. Thanks! Edit: I wrote this before reading all the comments. It looks like I'm far from being the only ceiling painter here.
  • Another use for the pineapple bark is to lay a piece of salmon on the bark, and tie it on with jute or cotton twine. Besure to soak the twine before you tie it on there. Then grill your salmon. Very tasty.

I loved all of the tips shown today, but the one I think I will use the most is the elastic band around the spoon to stop it falling into a pan, as this happens to me all the time. One tip that I will share with everyone, and I always use is to use a minestrone cup a soup with croutons to every savoury meal I make . Just sprinkle the contents/sachet of soup into the sauce when it is almost done. This will help thicken the sauce, as it is used dry and really adds a different flavouring to the meal. I use it with a savoury mince for lasagne, spag bog, shepherd's pie, mince and dumplings and mince pie etc. Or I will use a chicken cup a soup to any white meat meal and vegetable cup a soup in any of the above recipes I've suggested, but only when you use them in their powdered state . I hope these tips will give people ideas to enhance their flavouring into savoury meals. Hugs and stuff xx A

I had a jar of ketchup that I couldn't empty, and didn't get aroumd to rinsing it last night. Just tried your arm spinner hack, snd all the ketchup is near the cap! Pretty awesome! Thanks Chef Alex 😘

For peeling potatoes, and carrots, I use a stainless steel "scrubbee" that's made for dishes. I have one for dishes and one for vege's. Just scrub the peelings away as I'm rinsing them off. I don't throw away or compost any of the potato, or carrot, just the little bit of dirt and thin layer of peeling.
