Lana I understand your anxiousness when you think about the fact that you can’t possibly learn everything there is in a lifetime, but I try to have another perspective that actually makes me very happy: there will always be new interesting things to learn and to experience, and something new to make you excited. When you’re someone that is curious and interested in so many things, that means that life will never be boring to you and you can always learn something new. I think your curiosity is something to cherish en to be grateful for 😊

“why the hell did I ever stop”? I would be good at so many things if I just kept going

I really enjoy those jogs where I forget my headphones... then I can just listen to nature & my own thoughts. Always get a few good ideas too and remember things I had forgotten.

A calm state of mind: "Being able to experience the moment for what it is, without disruptive thoughts." - Lana Blakely, 2021 Seriously, an achievement to be proud of amidst all our day-to-day happenings.
  • Teaching online for free and getting positive feedback from people around the globe makes me feel calm and happy! 😃 🍀
  • Staying calm allows you to think logically and take decisions accordingly. Clarity of mind is extremely important while you are dealing with problems. If your mind is free and relaxed, your clarity on thoughts shall provide the solution to you. Staying calm allows you to discuss things rather than fights👍

Alright. These 5 habits for me are: 1) Cleaning my studio first thing in the morning - very therapeutic and I consider it my first small "win" for the day 2) Praying and reading Quran - connecting with my faith is just so soothing to the soul 3) Updating my planner - gives me a sense of control and some sort of an overview of my week 4) Talking to my loved one - instantly calms my anxiety just having a solid support system, even if it is just one person 5) Long and warm showers - last but definitely not the least. I like to think showering is free therapy Bonus: washing the dishes, I can meditate without too many "thought bubbles" floating around about how unproductive I am or whatnot, because washing dishes for me is productive. P.S. These might be the bare minimum for some but it is not for me. But hey, we're all here because we want to feel calm, don't we? Thanks again for sharing, Lana.

It calms me when I’m either painting, drawing, or journaling and while it starts off as a couple of minutes, hours pass by as I sit in silence and the world around me feels as if no time has passed at all.

I feel extremely calm when I learn languages. Many people think I "study" a language like it is a subject in school/university. But that's not true. It makes me feel okay with making mistakes while learning a new word/phrase in that language because I know I will be happy when I get it right later.

I love it when I’m studying a textbook, when I get into a made bed, watering my plants, Organizing my bookshelf, flipping through favorite books, sewing, crafting, stretching, etc. One of my favorite things is when I cheer and were stunting, the feeling in your muscles as you throw a basket or hit a stunt is surreal. Of course to top the list is praying, it’s just so comforting and I get to thank GOD for all the things that make life so great.

Imagine lana doing a vid specifically for her daily calming walks How cool would that be!!!
  • I just got a whole new favorite song. "Raindrops keep falling on my head" ❤💯
