Why everyone is buying iPhones now: for aesthetic mirror selfies

Social aspect is also heavily underrated especially in western countries I feel like younger generations tend to buy iPhones because of social pressure. There are literally people bullying you if you have an android it’s so weird

I bought an iPhone back in the day (2019) because I wanted to try it, in previous years I barked and scolded the whole Apple. No one suggested an iPhone to me, but I decided to try to see if it is as good as it is claimed to be, and it happened that when I got it in my hand. I fell in love with this, now I've been using different iPhones for years and I couldn't switch back to Android. From my own experience, everything just works, no lag or freezes. This phone does not offer the same features as Androids, but this one offers a smooth OS and a super fast chip and safe data security
  • I literally just switched from my iphone 12 pro max to a galaxy z flip 4 today. I really really love my new phone. Its been really interesting seeing everyone's reaction to me moving from iphone to android. Personall, I enjoy my tech most when its exciting and innovative. I giggle every time I open and close my phone. There's a joy and childlike wonder to this phone that just wasn't there the last time I upgrade. It feels like a new toy that I want to play with, rather than a chore to keep up with whats new. As long as it brings genuine joy into my life, and does the job it needs to do, I don't care about specs, and as long as android keeps making new, fun stuff, I'm gonna stick with it.

Google needs more top-down experience design. Android has always been derived from Google’s “mined data guides iterative design through Key Performance Indicators” philosophy. This results in too many cooks in the kitchen and jello vision on details that matter.

In a nutshell, Apple controls the psychology of their customers instead of investing in innovation.

It's extremely baffling how much of a grip Apple has on its user base. I have a top end 2022 flagship Android phone with an awesome camera. At a work event last year a group of colleagues wanted to take a photo and I was keen to offer up my phone for it, and was immediately shunned because it was an android over someone else's base level 3-year-old iPhone, which absolutely did not take better pictures than my phone. I think you're spot on with the aspirational POV, as Android caters to the budget shopper.

When I switched to iPhone, I mainly did it because it wouldn't deterriorate quickly, it would update for a long time, and quality. My old phone, the S10, overheated constantly, had horrible battery, had severe screen burn in, and had low storage. Maybe it's because it was just a bad phone, and certainly androids are better, but compared to the S10, the iPhone 13 was a godsend. I bought the iPhone 13 with my own money, in midnight, and later on I got a good deal on the budget ipad gen 9 bundled with the 1st gen apple pencil, and bought according screen portectors and cases. It is nice how seamlessly my iPad and iPhone interact with each other.

Really loved this video. The content here is just great! I really enjoyed all the effort you took to make this informative yet super interesting take. I really appreciate it! Thank you for that for what it worth i felt like it should be mentioned ❤
  • i live in iran, a 1000$ iPhone is equivalent of an annual salary of someone with average payment here, but still the amount of effort people put in buying an iPhone just to take a selfie in front of a mirror with their iPhone is frankly disturbing, it has become a very luxury status symbol here and its disgusting edit: also more than 80% of apple services like face time and etc... dont even work here so they dont even get the few benefits of the iphone but they still sell their kidney just to be an iphone owner

I think the only reason Apple is doing well is due to Option Fatigue and Ecosystem advantages. At times people just need less options. If someone wants a new phone, they have many options to choose from and that brings a lot of fear of misjudgement. But with Apple they just need to get the new one or something in their budget because except for number of cameras, not much will be different and once they buy an iPhone they invariably go for other apple accessories without looking at the price.
  • @BaaSicStuff
it also makes it for those with anxiety know this is the price, and you won't find the same product a day later for half the price. Value, is value GREAT video

I love how not all of his videos have to have a sponsor. This was a cool one 👌
  • @nowondr
I have used both over the years. Right now I use an iphone for work and it's fine and all. But the level of customization and function I get with my s23 ultra is unmatched and I would never trade it out as my daily driver for an iphone.

For those who forgot, phones were first made to make calls.
  • @FlintSH
I'm one of the rare users who switched to android from apple about 2-3 years ago. I don't regret it one bit!
  • @tespinal8
Hi! Great vid! Looks like you were using the pro max and lately newer videos show what looks like the smaller 14 pro. Curious why you went to the smaller. I did the same as well.
  • I like my iphone well enough, but the fact that i don't have the choice to switch to Android without also migrating a ton of data and account credentials over... makes it feel like a very tough decision to switch, no matter how tempting the hardware is.
