    I love the Tank. It and the Patek Ref 96 have defined the wristwatch for nearly a century. I’ve got a stainless Must quartz but really want a gold Normale.

    Very informative and well researched. I'd be interested in seeing your take on the Omega la Magique (undervalued considering how few were made?) and if this was actually the watch worn by Al Pacino in Scarface (I don't think it was but am not sure what it was)...

    The yellow gold version of the Louis is close to perfection that I could almost be called The Watch. But there are some minor issues for me which I hope Cartier would take care of. 1: Cartier should skip the quartz movement they use, and make it either with the me mechanical movement used in the rose gold version, or the premium quartz (with a battery life of 6 years) used in the Santos Dumont. 2: Cartier should skip the date complication as it makes the dial to busy (for its size) and makes it asymmetric. Both movements mentioned above are date less anyway, so... 3: The Tank Louis watches are made with with a mineral glass rather than a sapphire glass. Unless there are advantages to mineral glass which I am unaware of they should definitely make it with sapphire glass. Does anyone know if there are advantages to mineral glass compared to sapphire glass, and what these advantages might be??? I would love to hear.
