  • i did a dirty bulk and put on 25lbs in 4 months. i got a little puffy a little fat, but my strength in certain lifts went up A LOT. ive now been maintaining the weight that i bulked up to for 6 months and have been leaning out gradually while also increasing strength. i think a dirty bulk can be beneficial when done correctly but it just takes more time.

    I think Jeff just got in love with eating and putting on weight and maybe increasing strength. Despite having knowledge and being in the field. Which gets all of us, it’s hard to stop once you start eating junk food, especially in the winter

    I remember watching one of Greg’s video on Jeff back then, he said “sometimes people might get too bored of being so shredded, maybe they wanna get bulky and look big”. That’s probably what Jeff felt haha
  • I've always gotten a bit fat bulking. When you cut away you general see the gains. Can't cut to fast though because you do lose that muscle. 12-15% by range is where I prefer to stay in a bulk

  • I remember dirty bulking was a big thing like 10 years ago. The Hodgetwins and Chris Jones really popularized it back then. Good times.
  • He just stopped his cycle. If you keep on training. You can eat shit. And still wont lose the muscle he did. He just stopped his cycle and uses this excuse. Maybe he stopped his cycle because of injury or some other reason.

    I tried doing the dirty bulk thing not worth it ! I'm 5'3 I was tired AF being so light but honestly imo atleast i look better at 150 pounds then I did when I was 173 lbs not all of us have the genetics to be Ronnie Coleman and being (bigger) doesn't necessarily mean you look better is what I learned
