You know 'em, you love 'em, the Minions are Gru's little, yellow evil sidekicks in the Despicable Me franchise. And, while they're often seen getting into all sorts of trouble, they may actually be smarter than you realize. That's right, Theorists, the Minions are NOT actually dumb!

  • It’s very impressive how Gru manages to remember all the minions’ names and which one is which. I wonder how does Gru know it all when there’s so many
  • @Haenvr
they didnt believe me, they called me crazy. Look at me now πŸ’€

Uh, If my memory serves me right, in despicable me 3, they argued and left Gru coz he wasn't villainous anymore....BUT THERE COULD BE A REASON. Maybe now seeing he isn't bad anymore, they were planning to leave him to find another villain to 'serve'. However, other than seeing their emotional connection, they might have realized how Gru and the anti-villains can help them control more villains, they returned. Also, I think they WANTED to go to jail, coz seeing their numbers and swiftness, they could've overpower the police or escape. But where can you commonly find the biggest scums of the earth now??....EXACTLY

Minions aren't dumb, they're just clumsy 1:41 HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THE REFERENCE 4:30 That's how Illumination made sure their little yellow Tic-Tacs stayed far away from history's worst Austrian painter
  • @masedaace5473
I always figured that Minions were tech smart and dumb with everything else.

I'm 38yrs old and I watched Despicable me 4 alone and I enjoyed it. Sometimes watching kids movies lessens the stress you get from the adult world.

8:42 It was confirmed that the "assassin" from the Olypics opening ceremony was indeed supposed to be an assassin from assassin's creed. The costume is just so bad people didn't realise it was official.
  • @djkevey
Minnions are just 3 year olds in yellow unknown animatronic suits.
  • I think the minion language is super interesting. As a native Italian speaker, I can pick out a lot of what they are saying, along with some French, and they aren't just saying random stuff. Also, fun fact, there's only one voice actor for all of the minions

12:05 Now, we see the regular Lee in his natural habitat, a ridiculous theory, completely flabbergasted at the sight of this long, yellow fruit

Film Theory idea: In Encanto, Dolores says in we don't talk about Bruno that Bruno prophesized that the man of her dreams would be just out of reach and betrothed to another, but at the end of the movie she gets together with Mariano (the man of her dreams). Could this mean that Mariano is not the man of her dreams? If so, who is it?

I already know that the Minions are more intelligent than they appear, even throughout the Despicable Me universe, my favorite evidence being their prison escape in the third movie.
  • @DavetheAf
0:01 Hear me out- lee is secretly a minion thats why he made this theory
  • @itzghosterz_
bro they are always COOKING when it comes to theories
  • @NightDog246
My favorite thing about the theorists is that they can turn something so simple into something that takes twenty minutes to explain πŸ˜
