The US has pledged an "unprecedented" level of defence funding to the Philippines, just days after announcing a major overhaul of its military command in Japan. The US will allocate an additional $500 million to foreign military finances in the Philippines. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin are in Manila to reiterate support for its Asia-Pacific allies in the face of China's growing influence in the region. Tensions between Beijing and Manila have risen since last year over territorial disputes in the South China Sea. Buena Bernal reports.

Philippines is now the "chosen one." Chosen to be the next battleground for Ukraine 2.0. I feel sad for the Philippines people. While its top leaders are laughing and we know why...$$$...the Filipino should be crying....

When the U$A says they want to help you by building infrastructure in your country, they don't mean hospitals, roads, schools, etc. They mean military bases. --island country saying
