What other band treats their fans like this? Honestly, look at all of these videos we get on a daily basis. Will always love this band
  • Take care of yourself James. Never forget how much your music helps so many to overcome their issues every day.

Since Metallica has released 72 Seasons and we are now legally allowed to like their previous record, I'm here to say this is one of their most underrated songs.

Hate on Metallica all you want. Death Magnetic and Hardwired...To Self Destruct are some of my favourite albums of all time. Hell, I even like St. Anger and some of Load and Reload. I apreciate all of Metallica, and I always will. There is a reason that these four gentlemen are the most famous metal band ever. Long live Metallica!
  • Say what you will, but there are few people who can translate raw emotion into riff like James Hetfield. The man's a treasure.
  • What I love most about this video is that it's so serious and dark at first, but towards the end they sort of break character and just smile like they are having the time of their lifes, James is jumping with the crowd, smiling and Kirk is just on fire having a blast. Stuff like that just makes you love the band even more!
  • 07:28 - Warms my heart to see James just be so happy and jumping :) so lucky to have them in our time.

Whatever you say, Metallica dominated the whole world since their start... Rolling forever...
  • The last 3 minutes of this song are just another awesome song...

"Hello darkness, say goodbye" Get well soon, James \m/
  • Metallica is still rewriting the definition of what it is to be epic. No one else can keep up.
  • Obey, obey Come won't you stay Sincere, sincere All ends in tears Endure, endure Thoughts most impure Concede, concede But both shall we bleed Oh, halo on fire The midnight knows it well Fast, is desire Creates another hell I fear to turn on the light For the darkness won't go away Fast, is desire Turn out the light Halo on fire Allure, allure Sweetness obscure Abide, abide Secrets inside Deprive, deprive To feel so alive Obey, obey Just don't turn away Oh, halo on fire The midnight knows it well Fast, is desire Creates another hell I fear to turn on the light For the darkness won't go away Fast, is desire Turn out the light Halo on fire Prayers cannot get through Return to sender Unto which of you Shall I surrender Twisting in disguise Dark resurrection Lighting up the skies Wicked perfection Too dark to sleep Can't slip away Open or close My eyes betray Beyond the black Come won't you stay Hello darkness, say goodbye Hello darkness, say goodbye Hello darkness, say goodbye
  • I don't care what anyone says. This song is as good as anything they've written in their careers. It's incredibly heavy. The chorus is just pummeling. And the melody and lyrics really hit home. Just such incredible writing.
  • This song is literally saving my life right now. I'm an alcoholic, and it's been pretty bad these past couple of years. I've lost two jobs because of it, and was on the way to losing a third. My father was a raging alcoholic and a blues musician. So I get both my love of alcohol and music from him. I say "was" because he passed in 2011 when I was 26, and that's when I got really bad. When I heard this song I cried hardcore for at least an hour, something I haven't done since he passed, and let out pressure that I didn't even realize I had built up in me. Knowing James is also an alcoholic, him singing these lyrics hit me hard. When I was done I had a another rage in me. But now it's a raging desire to stay clean and sober from the demon drink that has plagued me for too long. My father will be my Halo on Fire. Hello darkness, say goodbye. Long live Metallica!!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘

One of my favorite Metallica songs, period. It's a journey. Some of the best vocals James has ever done.

I would say, "I love this song," but I love everything they put out. I wish I could meet them.
