Hitler decided that a surprise attack through the Ardennes region of France towards the main allied supply port at Antwerp would give him one last chance at victory on the western front.

  • Yes, I've seen this one before. But it's still a very good documentary, and well worth watching! And for my critics, I'll continue to post as I see fit! 😁

It's from the (1998-2005) TV series called "Tanks" Loved the intro back then.

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent still-motion photography pictures 📷/maps. Enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Special thanks to guest speakers sharing personal information/knowledge. Pertaining to the pros & cons of strength & weakness. Between the allied & axis armies during the battle of the bulge. Making this documentary more authentic and possible. Shortages of fuel severely hampered the panther tanks. Making distant travel to the battle front very difficult.
  • I won the battle of the bulge myself. I went from 195 pounds down to 180. Now I have to win the other battle of the bulge with the help of the little blue pill.
  • Nice introduction video about battleofthe Belgium ... 🇧🇪 it was an excellent military evaluation introduces...thank you 🙏 ( war stories) channel

That the Germans held on as long as they did was still impressive...as was the technology that they had continued to develop. A credit to the German people.

  • @anthonypert574
Seems a lot of variation of weight of tiger 2 from 68 ton to 75 ton and 70 ton for jagdtiger
  • @limbicbrain1
Thanks for protecting my Virgin eyes from seeing historical images of dead soldiers, YouTube. Its not like I searched for, and chose to watch a historical documentary. Ugh
  • @morningstar9233
Interesting: at around 07:42 Andy Hutcheson (Imperial War Museum, Military Vehicle Wing) says the King Tiger would still be an impressive fighting vehicle today. The time of filming being around 1998.

Way too many commercials. About the time it gets interesting another advertisement!
  • @royphair9676
Why would you make such a big heavy machine logistics alone it's to heavy for most bridges you don't have control of the air and more importantly you can't produce enough fuel for the armed forces it goes against the whole concept of blitzkrieg lighting war
  • @wot1fan885
Was the Porsche turret meant for the Tiger 1 or Tiger 2 ?? Bc the video says Tiger 1 .
  • @tonyrowland9216
Patton got the glory. major problem with that is by the time he got there it was basically over. From two family members who were medics there.
  • I recall most of those tiger tanks ran at speeds at about 22 miles a hour. I would like to know, how many gallons per hour did they consume. And what was the average size of its fuel tank?
