My paternal grandpa's older brother was in this battle and never came home. He was only 20 years old.

The Most Deadly Battle In History: Stalingrad! (Putin's standard for his own image?) Running from August 23, 1942 to February 2, 1943, Stalingrad led to 633,000 battle deaths. Furthermore, Clodfelter points out that this does not even include deaths sustained by Italian, Romanian and Hungarian troops on the flanks of the battlefront.😮

Immerse yourself in the dramatic story of the Stalingrad Battle as this video uncovers the horrific human cost that lies beneath its legendary status. Immersed in gripping storytelling and accompanied by striking graphics, viewers are whisked away to a watershed moment in WWII history, where immense bravery and brutality collided. The unfathomable tragedies of war are vividly depicted by the sacrifices made and the traumas faced by both civilians and soldiers. An inspiring story of how people can persevere through unfathomable hardships.

If Stalin had a billion troops he would have sacrificed 999 million of them at Stalingrad, without a thought, like more log wood on the fire,

Great story telling, excellent music choices.

Great video, no blurring out the truths

28:45 Dyensk?! I think most histories and atlases refer to it as The Demyansk (Демянск) Pocket.

Very interesting

THANK YOU!! For real history.. Its very important to understand the future.. It is both ethically perplexing and intellectually insidious when individuals advocate for armed conflict while conveniently evading personal participation. Such behavior not only underscores a moral vacuum but also underscores a detachment from the tangible consequences and sacrifices inherent in warfare. A society's willingness to engage in conflict should be met with a reciprocal readiness to bear its burdens, fostering a culture of accountability and shared responsibility.
