My paternal grandpa's older brother was in this battle and never came home. He was only 20 years old.

The Most Deadly Battle In History: Stalingrad! (Putin's standard for his own image?) Running from August 23, 1942 to February 2, 1943, Stalingrad led to 633,000 battle deaths. Furthermore, Clodfelter points out that this does not even include deaths sustained by Italian, Romanian and Hungarian troops on the flanks of the battlefront.😮

If Stalin had a billion troops he would have sacrificed 999 million of them at Stalingrad, without a thought, like more log wood on the fire,

28:45 Dyensk?! I think most histories and atlases refer to it as The Demyansk (Демянск) Pocket.

THANK YOU!! For real history.. Its very important to understand the future.. It is both ethically perplexing and intellectually insidious when individuals advocate for armed conflict while conveniently evading personal participation. Such behavior not only underscores a moral vacuum but also underscores a detachment from the tangible consequences and sacrifices inherent in warfare. A society's willingness to engage in conflict should be met with a reciprocal readiness to bear its burdens, fostering a culture of accountability and shared responsibility.
