Our Travel Gear:
Microsoft Surface, Travel Laptop: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

“Don’t think you’re close when you’re hundreds of miles away” Hundreds of miles isn’t that far if you’re from South Dakota.
-
As someone who lives in Eastern SD, would recommend mainly sticking to the western side.
-
Don't mess with the buffalo, give them their distance.
-
Another fun fact. The author of the wizard of oz lived in Aberdeen SD. And Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of little house on the prairie, called De Smet SD home as well!
-
My sister and her husband met and dated at Wall Drug. For a time they lived in Guam and had a sign made that said, Wall Drug, 6000 miles.
-
I lived in South Dakota, specifically the Black Hills, for about 12 years. In Custer County, in a small town called Pringle for a while, and then Rapid City. Absolutely beautiful part of the country.
-
Let’s be clear, I saw a Wall Drug sign in Washington state. When he says hundreds he means thousands.
-
There used to be Wall Drug signs all over the place, even in other states. In fact During WWII there were Wall Drug signs posted by U.S. soldiers in Europe.
-
I was ready to rip you for a “don’t do in SD” list. You are spot on! Especially the donuts at Wall Drug. They are the best cake donuts in America.
-
Never really thought of going to South Dakota, now I definitely am
-
Moved to South Dakota (Chamberlain) in fall of 2009, from Rockford, IL. Love it here, lower taxes, fewer people trying to run your life. Constitutional Carry, etc.
-
My parents moved to Rapid City from Wyoming when I was in my freshman year of college. So, I spent three summers there. Easily the three best summers of my life. I loved living in the Black Hills. So much to see and do. And I also had a fun job at Reptile Gardens, so that was pretty great too.
-
I laughed so hard when you mentioned the weather forecast. It's so true! You can start the day with your winter coat and end in shorts some days depending on the season. I would say the forecast is more like a loose guideline for what you may encounter.
-
Another don't: don't expect a still day on 90. That wind is ALWAYS blowing lol.
-
Im in my 3rd year living here. Its a fantastic state and with everything going on in the country now, its been a real blessing living here.
-
as a south dakotan, I feel so seen and understood
-
I've lived in south Dakota all my life and everything he said is 100% true
-
Leave the wildlife alone, don’t enter anyone’s farm/ranch without permission. Also, SD is WAAAY better than ND.
-
He forgot a “don’t “ please don’t mess with wildlife. Leave the Buffalo alone they’re dangerous. No selfie is worth your life. 👍🏻 if you’re visiting in the black hills watch for bears, mountain lions etc.
-
I saw a Wall Drug sign in Amsterdam when I was in the Navy in 1974 (lol).
