When I was a kid I thought Gerrard was just ok. Then I watched him at White Hart Lane and everyone in the ground applauded him.. 1 of the greatest all round players I've ever seen.. World class

The best way to describe stevie was that he was all your favourite midfielders rolled into one. He was world class at every single attribute on a football pitch with an insane physical ability. He was also elite in about 8 positions on the football pitch. He was the most clutch player in the league plus he’s the only player on earth to ever score in every cup final available. All your goat managers wanted him whilst your “goat” midfielders were already in the team as well by the way. No one comes close, sorry.

Stevie G was the most complete player. I watched him play left back, Central Defence, Right back, across the middle, up front and he owned every position. He could pass a ball sweetly from 5 to 65 yards. Score with both feet and his head and tackle. Scholes and Lampard couldn't do what he did. In fact, I'd like anyone to name one player who could play any position and play it well and do what I've just stated Stevie G to do. It tells you something when Zidane rated Stevie better than himself. World class is banded about too easily to players who are not. Stevie G was world class!
  • The streets, the stands, the dugouts, the gantries, and the pitches will never forget. 🐐

    Where they talk about Gerrard......10'25" You're welcome.👍
  • Funny how all the ex pros who played against Gerrard says he's the greatest midfielder they've ever played against but Barry from Oxford who's overweight and never kicked a football in his life says Gerrard is 'overrated' 🤣🤣........... Its usually just United fans that says Gerrard is overrated because they'll never admit he was miles better than the ginger Robbie Savage 🤣🤣
  • Gerrard is the reason I watched football nowadays..it has been 18 years now. He's in my all time XI all time. Put him in a dream team he would've won 25 trophies

Best all round player I’ve ever seen. There’s a reason why Ferguson, Mourinho and Madrid tried to sign him on multiple occasions. He was almost a victim of how good his overall game was imo. He could play any outfield position and be the best player on the pitch, and he played in what was mostly an average Liverpool team so he maybe didn’t quite get the goal numbers he could’ve done in a different environment. He didn’t really have a weakness in his game though, and that was what made him almost uniquely great.

Gerrard wasn't as technical on the eye as great players like Zidane, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta. But as an all round footballer he was world class.

A few oddballs calling one do the most complete midfielders of our generation overrated 😂😂😂 bunch of losers
  • The only player to dictate football matches on his own in prem history
  • @adamscott6719
Almost all pros who played with or against Gerrard say he was the best!
  • @uyskutzu
Even Scholes admitted Gerrard was another level above him Even Zidane categorically wanted him at Madrid with him Even Mourinho was busting one before bed over him
  • Gerrard to me, stands out as the best midfielder i've seen in the past 20 years. Growing up as a massive villa fan... I used to fear him on the opposing liverpool team, he would dominate games on his own & used to destroy us, I used to just think "wow"
  • How many people have said this now..... Best player I've ever seen, it's hard to put into words, he was an absolute force in the middle..... He got 30 goals from right wing ffs out of position and still dominated
  • @KyleSLFC
Remember Big Sam at Bolton used to get Muamba to mark Stevie and literally move everywhere Gerrard went. We drew 0-0 there and Gerrard never got a kick. Thats how much respect managers had for Stevie. One of the best.
