Jigging The Strongest Fish In The World

Enjoy your vids dude, especially the stuff over the edge. Some suggestions to help land a big dog: - fish deeper (120m+); increases the chance of keeping them off the reef, and they will also get barotrauma which helps your chances of landing a good one - drive off the reef slowly when you hook a decent fish. May help to move away from the sharks, but more importantly starts to plane the fish up and potentially give barotrauma - move spots when the sharks are thick (this is everywhere I know!) I’ve found the shallow spots (<100m) seem to have more smaller ones and more sharks. I think the odds are much lower of getting a good fish in shallow. Just a few tips from my time chasing my then in Oz and the Pacific. Plenty of heart break but a few wins also.
