I work as a deputy sheriff and we have a couple small towns in my county that don't have a town cop. One night I responded to call of a drunk man trying to break into his ex-girlfriends house. Long story short, I ended up getting in a fight with the suspect on the side of the road at 1 a.m. and the suspect tried to take my gun. A lifted truck just happened to be driving by when they suddenly stopped and three guys got out and pinned the suspect down while I cuffed him. Then, they just hopped in their truck and left. No one needed to document the incident on camera. They didn't have to think about what was the right thing to do. They saw a need and met it. Love my community.

I would have never even heard of this song if people hadn't been upset about it.

My father was in the Marine Corp for 31 years. There were at times that he was gone for long times and then short times. I missed him and so did my siblings and mother. To this day, I still have his letters and am so proud of him. My prayers go out to all veterans and their families. You have my respect and thanks.

I’m a black woman who wouldn’t have to worry about “trying it in a small town” bc that crap never would’ve gotten past my house!! My grandparents, mom, dad, uncles, aunts, minister, & pretty much any adult in our community would’ve straightened me out real quick!!! Also, I have a huge extended family of men who hunted, fished, went to church, & worked hard to keep a roof over their family’s head & food on the table!! We were protected by God & Smith n Wesson!! As a Hispanic female born and raised in NYC… I endorse this song, we need this same attitude in our big cities. Enough is enough.

This song is facts, its not about color, its about how ppl act.

I live in a small town, but before I moved here I spent 13 years in a big city, and I hated every day of it. Gunshots right down my street, people pounding on my garage door in the middle of the night, a police chase right past my front door, 5 stolen cars parked outside our house in 4 years, you think of it and there's probably at least one example I can remember just in my neighborhood. None of that has ever happened, nor has anything even remotely close to it happened, in the small town. The arguments are few and far between, everybody gets along, we don't have any extremist opinions that tear communities apart, and it's overall a far better place to live in every way possible. I'll never go back to the city, and you know what? I'm glad about that. Folks, say what you want about small towns, but just know that for every bad one, there's at least 3 good ones to balance it out.

Funny how people are trying to use this as a wedge on Americans and across all towns and communities, we're all like hell yes, we protect our families and our friends. That song they're trying to split us with is a song bringing us together ❤
