These cheesy voices are just perfect for Adannce Wars!

I appreciate WayForward’s attempt in bringing these characters to life and giving them lots of personality.

God I love that Sturm's power flash is nothing except the GIANT RED TEXT SCROLLING BEHIND HIM THAT READS "METEOR STRIKE". WF knew nothing sold the menace of that ability harder than the name itself. Helps that Sturm's VA just leaned RIGHT the fuck into the delivery of it.

They REALLY nailed each character's personality. The amount of polish in this game surprised me, and I had HIGH expectations to begin with!

I love how the power activation themes aren't just all in the styles of the characters' theme songs, but in some cases like Sami or Colin or Jess' you can actually hear bits of the melody or riffs from their theme mixed in too.

The other VAs can take a piece from Adder. He's feeling it.

While I like the animations I do wish they had different ones for their super power as opposed to their regular, though that is heavily me just wanting more lol

Adder’s is my favorite, especially that laugh at the end. Love the voice actor they chose for him.

Adder hands down has one of the best, cracks me up every time you hear that SHWING! sound effect.

I love the dynamic shading that comes up during eagle's power from the flash of lightning. Also find it kinda funny how Hawke gets no such treatment despite having similar lightning effects, lol

Turning the corny Advance Wars 1 power jingle into leitmotif incorporating each CO's theme was genius. I kinda wish the AW2 power activation jingle prior to this matched the faction of the CO though.

love how they leaned into Jess being both butch as fuck and absolutely shredded, just tossing and catching a cannon shell as big as her own torso (with ONE ARM no less). love her

Game needed full voice acting (and some better VA's for some) and an actual online mode.. but still it's an amazing game and i'm absolutely enjoying it.
