In this glitch packed episode we check out the buggier side of Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, the remake of a beloved classic. Frankly, the game became more and more broken during the making of this, so may have to revisit it, and of course, the original!

Glitches-
1. NPC Size Glitch - 0:38
2. Characters Loaded into Wrong Areas - 2:04
3. Infinite Lasso Hover - 3:19
4. Bubble Bowl Talk and Slide - 5:30
5. Huge Out of Bounds Exploration Time (Of which there are many, many various methods) - 6:43
6. Taxi Glitch - 17:52

1:44 Ah HA! I understand everything now! Spongebob is set to M for Mini, and Patrick is set to W for Wumbo!

“Okay so just stand on top of this unexploded bomb” “I don’t like where this is going”
  • @shards1627
"maybe more broken" the speedrun for the original battle for bikini bottom is 45 minutes, the speedrun for rehydrated is 3 minutes way more broken.
  • ahoy spongebob I’ve overdosed on ketamine and I’m going to die argharghargh

I found out about this weird glitch where THQ advertised that this game would have unused content, like Robo Squidward, but he was only in some random multiplayer mode... Oh, wait a minute...
  • @hodgy_boi
Perhaps the first glitch isn’t a glitch. “You has it as M for mini when you should have it as W for wumbo”

Spongebob: Shrinks Patrick. Patrick: "Good thing I've still got this pickle."
  • @NanaKyoto
SpongeBob clearly had his belt set to M for Mini, that's why NPCs shrink by him. But with these out of bounds, it's like you can be anywhere, and anytime at all, down here in the deep blue sea.
  • Regarding the sock in the theater: In the original game, there was a sock present inside of the theater in the hubworld, but it was marked as inactive and therefore did not show up in game. The data was there though. Purple Lamp used the original level files as a base for the levels in Rehydrated*, so the sock data carried over, but the inactive flag didn't. Evidently, it was overlooked by the level designers. *Fun fact: they even went so far as to use a community-made level editor called "Industrial Park". In later versions of the Rehydrated, the developer of that software is even thanked in the credits.

Hey, as long as you make these things, my 5 year old son and I will watch them. He's seen (almost) every episode of yours and he got extremely excited at your upload. Thanks for giving us something to enjoy together.

Awesome episode! The fish at the end goes by many names, but I prefer his Season 3 name: A. Realistic Fish Head!
  • @SJrad
I call the first glitch with Patrick, “the Wumbo” And the version with sponge bob “the mini”

There's something nostalgic about a game from that era having glitches that aren't game breaking but funny to do.
