  • @fimja
As a fellow therapist, I REALLY appreciate your video. So so helpful.
  • "Why is therapy so expensive?" Your comments about insurance companies hit a little too close to home! 😂I used to work for a law firm, and we had to work with insurance companies a lot. They totally think they are doctors and try to find ways of avoiding paying for things. (They also don't seem to think mental health issues are that important IMHO.) 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • @NenaLavonne
Brilliant theme for a video, and much appreciated! Wishing you all the best! ✨
  • @airpolygon2714
Fantastic video! You really help me understand many things about therapy! sometimes there's no time with my therapist, and we can't really get into every subject, or sometimes I forget questions that I have. This is really helpful to understand, and to create specific questions that I can ask during my sessions!

It's great to have such informative videos back! I like the novices vs experts, it kind of balances off the differences and of course one's personal experience also counts in what they're contributing along with their knowledge.
  • @MusicalChelC
So glad you're back with your awesome videos! I enjoyed the short clips from the TV shows you're doing but I love this kind of content so much!
  • Love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing the realities and struggles of being a therapist. It's so insightful to me as an undergrad & such valuable and helpful information!
  • @reenavalecha159
I have considering getting therapy for a long time now and I was really wondering how would I really know if it's gonna help.. this video debunked so many of my doubts . Thank you so much !! ❤️
  • Welp after the 2nd question I am happy that I live in the netherlands. I luckily never have to worry about paying my therapist! I pay 160 euro a month for healthcare and everything, including therapy, is covered.
  • @emiliam778
Thanks, that is a very helpful video (as always)
  • great content, keep it up! I'm a rising sophomore in college and trying to figure out a career path and i really appreciate how transparent you are.

As of today (1/17/2021) Glassdoor supposedly hasn't had a SINGLE additional individual provide salary information to them. This video was released in Dec. 2019, and still, today, not a single additional person has provided their salary information with Glassdoor, yet the average base pay for a mental health therapist has declined??? This video reports 54,092 @2,793 salaries reported, but as of 1/5/2021, Glassdoor displays mental health therapists as making 48,905 @2,793 salaries reported. Nobody is going to see this comment, so I probably just wasted time writing this, but yeah, that's weird... This is such an overlooked part of this job for undergraduate students who want to pursue this occupation, and when they see it, it can shatter their dreams. For that reason, I am super happy to see you talking numbers. It helps students realize what they're going to make.

First job was 30k a year...in 2012. Masters level therapist. Worked easily 50+ a week.
