Blake (she/her) & Gina (she/he/they) have been a couple for 3 years. They both have very different background stories and grew up in different cultures and households, this has led to them wanting to understand each other better, talk about their differences and love one another on a deeper, more intimate level. They’ve built a safe and empathetic communicational space, they’ve learned how to feel comfortable leaning on each other for support and/or help and their love for one another is also teaching them how to love themselves more.
As we explore new perspectives we invite you to step into the emotional space of connection and experience the deeper lessons that shared experiences can afford humanity. The skin deep has taught me so much about what healthy relationships look like, and for that im forever grateful because i never got to witness this growing up or even as an adult. Thank you so much, this was beautiful to watch.

7:38 you can see that as soon as Gina says "I want you to love yourself that much" Blake changes expression and starts to stare at the ground. She knows that her girlfriend is right, that she should love herself just a little bit more, but it's a feeling that's so hard to overcome. I'm saying this because I know that feeling all too well and looking at her was like looking at myself when a loved one talks to me the same way.

They are both coated in pain, it's really quite sad. I hope the strength they have for each will lead to ultimate happiness.

This is probably my favorite video. I love how self-aware they are about the things that they still need to heal. I love how they hold space for each other's growth. I love how they inspire each other to love themselves even more. Thank you both for allowing me to see your relationship dynamic. Literally the problems Blake is going through I am too in my relationship. And my partner tells me what Gina tells Blake. It’s a difficult road learning to love yourself but I know it’s rewarding but you never want it to bleed into the relationship especially with someone you love so deeply. They are a beautiful couple I hope they last forever.

I don't know how I ended up here but woow, I cried with her maybe because I miss my mom and know how much pain she's in, they say it gets better with age, lost my mom when I was 7, I'm 29 years old I still cry sometimes. I wish them both lifetime of togetherness and happiness❤sending them hugs🇿🇦❤
