Rauru vs Ganondorf Fight Cutscene - Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

“Remember this name” Cut to present day link running around, naked and torturing Koroks.

“Remember…this name” that line gives me goosebumps. The raw determination and trust in rauru’s voice while saying that is amazing.

Two things 1. This is probably one of the coolest scenes in the entire game. Rauru being chad and the music just makes it even better. 2. Man Rauru really placed his faith in a guy he never met. Considering that this scene occurs prior to Zelda receiving the Master Sword and if Zelda has told Rauru the full details of the events that took place beneath the Hyrule castle apart from the info we see her telling him in the memory. For Zelda at that moment Link is either dead or severely injured and the Master Sword is broken.

The fact that Rauru CHECKMATES Ganondorf the SAME way Ganondorf killed Sonia was as poetic as it gets. Absolutley incredible moment from every perspective, Ganon had it coming and Rauru played the BIG disrespect card.

The theme when Link is named dropped is unreal. Like 25 years of playing these games and that theme still hits hard

I love that Rauru was trying to be threating when he told Ganondorf to remember Link, but Ganondorf was pretty much ready all-in for a new challenger.

That cracking sound when rauru first hits ganondorf really shows the power behind this move

I was straight up crying when THE theme played when Rauru name dropped Link... Goddamn i love this franchise

I love that the other Ganandorfs took the sages one at a time but this one took all of them, plus a powered up Zelda, AND their king, all at once and the only way they could win was by pausing the battle until someone with enough natural talent and grind could fight him

Ganondorf saying "Interesting, I look forward to meeting him" is literally the most badass thing ever, I'm so glad they decided to use voice acting from now on because text alone wouldnt've done that justice

"Link... remember this name." they cooked

2:46 I love the main theme kicking in before this, but this part actually gave me goosebumps. They cooked a good story

2:14 Chris Hackney delivering this line shows how much effort he put into Rauru’s character. Truly an awesome VA along with Matt Mercer. (VA of Ganondorf)

This moment cemented this game for me as an incredible masterpiece

Ganondorf last setences were him literally saying "bet" to Rauru talking about Link being able to beat him xD

This is by far my favorite cutscene in the entire game. Maybe one of my favorite moments in the entire franchise. This scene is so epic and ganondorf being so calm as he expresses his interest in meeting link is such a powerful moment.

When Link finally destroys Ganondorf and he see Rauru in the other world Ganondorf: "hey you lying goat, didn't you said Link would fight me with a sword??" Rauru: "yes I did, what's the problem??" Ganondorf: "he came to me on a giant flying mecha"

“Remember…This name” gave me chills and the crescendo swell of the main theme at the name Link was spectacular

dude... bell sounds NEVER miss in music, soundtracks, anything... 1:23 goes so hard
