What an excellent movie, so well-acted by all, especially Rupert Penry-Jones and Lydia Leonard, intrepid screenplay, authentic costumes, scenery, etc.! Where has this gem been hiding?! Bravo! From the USA🚀.

This is my favorite version of the 39 steps. Rupert Penry Jones and Lydia Leonard have amazing chemistry (and what a pleasure it was to see them again in WhiteChapel!). The music is so wonderful as well and the scene by the fire manages to be alluring, sensual and sweet at the same time, so the director is not shab either! For those of you who don't like, you don't have to watch. Haters gonna hate. Probably just jealous of Rupert.

I just love this movie. Both lead actors are wonderful. I don’t think that Rupert Penry-Jones has any equal when it comes to handsome charming actors!

Sheer bliss - exciting story, tear-jerking romance, magnificent period detail and vehicles, and beautiful Scottish scenes! All without no Fu King ads! Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed this adaption with one of my favs Rupert, always so dashing, I understand why the ladies like him he's handsome as heck ! I also loved Lydia, she was a perfect foil to his conservative character, she was a 'firecracker' too !!

I always attributed this to Agatha Christie, but it was written while she was busy in WW I, I found out it was a Scotsman named John Buchan, Great movie, wish they made more like this

A suffragette and an adventurer. Superb combination and an excellent rapport between Penry-Jones and Lydia Leonard. Most faithful adaptation of Buchan's original novel? Brilliant soundtrack too.
