Im a 64 year old CIS male and I have no idea why your videos popped up on my feed - but this is the 4th one I've watched and I just want to say you're an amazing person. You are so freakin' brave and together given everything - more than most who don't have your adjustments to deal with. I know you will survive and thrive - best of luck and have an amazing life!

I’m so glad you’re doing alright and healing well, great video! 💚

After many years in the medical field I can say without a doubt this is most REAL strait up honest talk I’ve heard. Best of luck .
  • @judysmith6210
Thank you for your honesty. My granddaughter will be going through this in a year so it is nice to know what will be happening.
  • My girlfriend still isn’t sure if she wants GRS or not so I’m trying to watch and read up as much as I can so I know what she might go through and experience if that’s what she decides to do further down the line. This was really informative and helpful for partners of trans people who want to support their SOs through surgery and transitioning, thank you so much and I hope recovery goes well for you! ❤️

I’ve never heard anyone share the intimate details of a surgery like this, and so thank you for courageously sharing this. I hope that several months down the road, you’ve found that going through with this procedure has brought you every bit of fulfillment you felt you were lacking & more. You’re a beautiful, brave young lady. Continue to stay blessed my dear. Hugs from Connecticut xo
  • I'm 6 months HRT and thank you for your video. You did a great job elaborating and giving me the confidence in my dicision.
  • I haven't checked in with Maya's videos for quite a while. So happy for her that she had this surgery! Wishing her many years of happiness to come.
  • You look like Chloe Grace Moretz and Amanda Seyfred had a baby together. That was NOT an insult by the way.

Your video popped up in my feed and i just LOVED how honest, real and Still positive you are!! Gender reassignment surgery IS the BIGGEST and difficult surgery to heal from!! Even back surgery is hard ... But i think what you went through is harder. And i love that you're explaining the truth of how you feel about this stage of your surgery. Super mentally healthy for you. I enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing it!!!

Girl! So proud of you, take good care of yourself! I really wish you some healing, in all aspects and i hope everything turns out perfect when you do! Please keep us posted 💗
  • You do such a great job at assessing the situation & giving straight forward honest answers. So interesting to hear about the recovery & pain. You are a Rock Star Girl!
  • @Trotsky0518
One line, from the Final Fantasy VII Remake, you might like is "True beauty is an expression of the heart. A thing without shame, to which notions of gender don't apply."

Finally a video telling more truth about the surgery than all of the videos I have watched on YouTube. In fact this video has me excited as I myself am scheduled for the surgery in a few months. I want to say thanks for the most detailed informative video I have seen so far👍
  • Good to see you looking well! Bless your heart❤️ Sounds like you have been through a lot! Sorry that you had to be alone during such a challenging time. Continue healing, getting stronger, and feeling better! Prayers and much love, dear one!

I can’t remember if she said anything about going to the bathroom on her own after. I can imagine both peeing and pooping would be incredibly uncomfortable experiences plus you’re trying to keep that area constantly clean and free of bacteria because you quite literally have open wounds down there. Every aspect of this type of transition and healing has got to be one of the most difficult things a person could go through and I will never understand how anyone could think a person would go through it for attention or as part of a “phase”. If she does read this comment, I’m so happy you’ve got such a wonderful supportive partner and I wish you nothing but the best and a smooth recovery.
  • @VerityGradin
Has it been one month already?? Crazy! Happy for you Maya :)
  • @SewingLara
Listening to this makes one realize how brave anyone who goes through this must be. Respect, girl. It's not an easy procedure 😱
  • Nice you healing well! I’ve been following you for the last years and I feel happy you’re doing it! And that you’re being totally honest about the surgery. Good luck on the recovery! Xoxo
