Weapon Territory War 5

In this version of territory war, the marbles have swords. Only when a sword touches a block of another colour does it get conquered - marbles will bounce off harmlessly.

New in this version:
- New fighter: Spearman. Has a long spear that can move linearly.
- New fighter: Mage. Periodically converts blocks in a very wide area.
- New option: Add Marble.
- Castles have been removed. Instead, players are defeated when they have no more fighters and no more blocks.
- The blocks are only in the middle of the map - the sides can be moved through freely by any players.
- Each player has a "safe zone" for spawning, where enemy fighters cannot enter.

Participating: Yellow, Red, Green and Purple

    I can't believe red managed to lose this, purple had 2 squares and no fighters twice, there was a moment when purple would've lost if the fighter spawned 0.1 second later, it was crazy

    Here's an idea for an unit The Scythe. Inspired by the glitch in Weapon Territory Wars 1-3, where marbles could put their weapon at the handle of the weapon of a teammate's, allowing them to stick together like glue (until it slipped out of their hands of course), often, it was a longsword picking up a fighter, and when the fighter was at the end of the longsword's blade, it looked like a scythe. The new non-glitched version of this former glitch weapon would function like a longsword but with a horizontally extended blade tip which would allow wider sweeps and spins, while having a non solid handle which cannot be used as a shield such as say spearman's, to counter balance the offensive capabilities of this new weapon. Also please move berseker to second last unit, he's way too powerful.

    The gaps on the sides are too large and enable spawncamping. They either need to be a bit narrower or have some sort of barrier in the middle to deny direct access. Other than that, good format, and good fight.
  • I love the changes, wonderful improvements. Probably the most satisfying comeback I've ever seen "oh you're going to try and humiliate me instead of ending the match? Well I'm going to add five more spawner marbles and see how you like a horde." Also loved how mages can "freeze" marbles in place by converting their blocks. Personal thoughts on changes: Several other comments have said you should disable the spawnkilling. I think you need to keep it as an option, if you remove that capacity a color that's got enough spawn marbles becomes impossible to finish off because they'll always have a marble in their spawn zone and, if the match goes on long enough, pretty much always be spawning new marbles that can't be killed. Don't decrease the size of the edges. You could maybe increase the size of the map as a whole if you wanted to have them take up less percentage, but don't narrow them. Recommendation: make the archers not fire unless they're pointing at something hostile. Their weapon does some really neat and useful things (in particular they're really good at killing other marbles) but they're crap at territory taking and the fact that at least 50% of an archer's shots will fly uselessly off into the distance instead of even hitting territory makes them really really annoying to watch. Berserkers: another comment noted that they're obnoxiously strong right now. Here's my idea: make their swords not protect them against enemy weapons, like the archer's bow. Super high offense, basically no defense, see how that works out and if their inability to defend themselves in ways other than "kill the other guy first" makes them less busted
