Recipe here: www.joyofbaking.com/Pavlova.html Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Pavlova. Pavlova (Pav) is a Meringue Cake that has a light and delicately crisp crust with a soft marshmallow center. This dessert is typically served with softly whipped cream and fresh fruit. There is a long standing debate about whether New Zealand or Australia invented this dessert. What we do know is that the name, Pavlova, was chosen in honor of the Russian ballerina, Anna Pavlova, who toured both New Zealand and Australia in 1926.

My mom is wondering why I’m cracking eggs in the kitchen at 5 in the morning, and I said that’s cause Joy of Baking has posted another delicious video

Another fabulous and detailed video, now I feel confident to try this recipe. Thanks Stephanie 🥰
  • I love how you explain the recepies so well! I made the macaroons and they came out fantastic. And it's not possible that the recipe comes out bad! Of course, I love to bake 💞
  • Tip: To make meringue, wipe down inside and sides of your bowl with lemon juice, or with vinegar with a paper towel before you place your egg whites in to whip. Works great every time.

I was a young schoolgirl when I started cooking and baking years ago, and joy of baking, and laura in the kitchen were the first YouTube channels that I came across, my first try from your blog was the classic pavlova recipe, a big hit with the fam, still special to me, both recipe and this channel, people nowadays are more interested in the short and quick videos rather than the detailed ones, but I know I won't unsubscribe from your channel ma'am even if you ever stop posting new videos and I wish that you don't ♥️♥️♥️

Love this! I learned so much about the how and why! So much more than just stepping through the recipe!!
  • My daughter asked me to make a Pavlova for Valentine’s Day. I made sure I checked your YouTube channel to get it “right”! Thanks🤗. I’ve made this desert before as I lived in New Zealand for 10 years. It’s so popular there. Thanks for the extra tips. You and Chef John are my go to experts.
  • Great to see this cake being well-made from scratch. Here in Australia, this is our national dessert, and it is often sold as the completed cake in supermarkets year round, and especially at Easter and Christmas. The store-bought version is nothing like the home made version, which is so much better, and Stephanie has done a great job (as always) although we make them ever-so-slightly differently here, and always with caster sugar (a sugar which is between icing sugar and granulated sugar in fineness).
  • I love this recipe, I have made it over and over again. By far the best recipe ever. May you be blessed always.

This was really helpful. You added a lot of things that the recipe I was following didn't, and it made a BIG difference. Thank you for this. Well-done and very informative!

Oh I love pavlova so much, here in Australia it is so common and I usually buy one every Christmas for dessert for the family. I have never attempted to make one ad I’ve been a little scared to, you have explained it all step by step, I might give it a go. Thank you Stephanie
