Picked up this Fairfax vacuum cleaner a few months ago. Love the R2D2 shape of it but for daily use it a little bit cumbersome. The external wiring for the power nozzle strapped to the hose is a nuisance as is having nowhere to wrap the power cord around. The power nozzle looks to be a made by Eureka clone and works well. This vacuum pulled about 90 on the suction test directly at the vac port and a bit less from the hose
Have to say the glittered nozzle looks great though

I have a Fairfax also. You can dampen the sponge that inserts into the air cleaner as you called it and add fragrance oils and it freshens the rooms as you vacuum. I have the other attachments to use this machine as a carpet shampooer. You just remove the bag and hook up a different hose to attach to your faucet and voila! I got a deal on mine as a repo, paying about $700, but they were selling new at the time for $1000. It's mostly made from stainless steel. High quality I think. Enjoy!

SinCalgary, @pkguy3 I bought this complete w/attachments at a garage sale. Can you tell me where to purchase the bags to fit this canister?

My fairfax hose has an internal wire leading to the main unit... that is an interesting setup...

Are they still for sale in Canada ? I remember seeing them ages ago and boy do they suck up the dirt. Is there an outlet in western Canada ?

My Tristar is superior for suction. Was expensive to purchase but serves me very well in Burnaby on the west coast.

Can't say really. I haven't really used it much other than to try it out quickly and then make this video.

@pkguy3 Saw one of these at an auction the other day... in US! I LOVE the flashy powerhead! Pretty! AND... it and the vac both said MADE IN CANADA! Finally! Somewhere other than China! (Well, our Miele is all German-Made). Seems like the company has some PRIDE in your country!
